Election time comes around on Tuesday, Jan 5th, and hopefully you'll know by now that I am running for Prime Minister.
Firstly, I encourage you to read my intro article to know a bit more about who I am
Nice Guy Eddie for Prime Minister

In this article I present my manifesto, which has been written from my own experience and from discussions with current ministers and friends. Before reading this I encourage you to read my rant in this article about what you can really read into a manifesto:
Nice Guy Eddie - Cabinet Applications

As I say in that article, this manifesto is not the long essay split into 3 articles that we're used to. I've stripped down the long boring bulk of text to something that everyone can enjoy... a concise, useful and readable manifesto. I want everyone in the country to be able to read it and be able to hold me to my manifesto promises.

As I've been involved in government for the past 3 months and so if there were major problems I would have already been working solve them. In fact the below is very much continuing from previous months, not revolutionising. However, what I bring to the job is top-notch organisational skills to make sure plans really get implemented and things really get fixed.

My Policies

General
- Will have a Vice President. Helps to develop people into future CPs and gives backup/redundancy/timezone cover.
- PP meeting room is currently a waste of space. For it's current limited use it will be kept but will be refashioned to allow access for Lords and Cabinet and will be used as an advisory board meeting room. The advisory board will comment on the workings of the ministries and Whether the CP is leading towards realistic and valuable long term goals.
(the idea being that all CPs should build on the successes of predecessors)
- Contracts will be in place for all orgs used by every ministry and the military
- Will keep the Cabinet Secretary role.
- Cabinet will be chosen completely on merit (non-partisan).

Domestic
- Communications... get all ministries talking to the people more. One newspaper created for regular updates from PM and all ministries (or links to ministry's papers where applicable).
- Getting HoL active in advising the country and reviewing our legislation.
- MUCH better control of immigration needed.

- Focus domestic ministries on new citizen services as much as possible.
- Baby boom... really, really... maybe... but we'll keep trying.

Military
- We're in a good state in the Navy and SF with some minor reform already planned and started.
- Will keep War Cabinet.
- Won't have a MoDaFA (see: General>Vice President)
- Where the gov can do the most to help military at the moment is in a similar place to last month... recruitment. Strength in size. Will get things REALLY moving.
- Funding will continue to be prioritised for Navy and SF, especially for operations supporting Phoenix allies... this is the best way to build our foreign relations.
- #eUKCivWeaps will continue... but need to be sure it is streamlined to support as much of the population as possible. IRC is a blocker for some so options for an in game chatroom or web interface to request weaps can be investigated. In case of very urgent homeland battles we should also have a record of the active and willing citizens we can push weaps to without them needing to request them and an emergency fund for getting weaps and ads up quickly.

Foreign Affairs
- Phoenix. Build on our good relations with words and actions. Need to be active in supporting military actions abroad.
- Ireland... best friends forever.
- Other Neutrals... respect their decisions to stay out of global conflict, and represent that position to our allies too.
- Maintain MPPs... US are scared of opening too many MPPs against themselves so this is our safety line.
- Not afraid to make use of our open wars for training, and distracting/blocking as Phoenix plans require.
- In favor of a union with UNL assuming that it is wanted by everyone involved and it won't result in infighting.
- Belgium... the regions we have will be returned to UNL if they request. Though we will also discuss with them how we can best assist UNL in in holding the regions safely.

Economic
- A lot of work has gone into getting us to where we are economy wise and I don't propose any major changes. Just like military, we need to trust the MoF and his team and watch to ensure things are progressing.
- I will though be asking House of Lords to be taking a more active advisory role with MoF (as with all ministries, see: general>advisory board)
