Here i will highlight one of the newspapers that are to be commended for there work or at least for the effort they try to do.
I will give a short summary describing that paper and why this one was chosen.
And if possible(if the newspaper-owner agrees to it) i'll give a very...very short interview with its creator.


The newspaper is:

Life with MaryamQ

"Life with MaryamQ" is a newspaper who tries to focus mainly on the philosophical matters in-game with sometimes some political news and a touch from her Real Life. She sometimes also tries to tackle the social problems that occures within eRepublik.


Interview with newspaper owner/editor:

Question: Could you tell me why you started this newspaper?
Answer: I started the newspaper when I was a new player back in V1. I had an idea I might write about restoring and maintaining health, a real issue at the time, but I found others were already doing it, and better than I could. I didn't really start writing until after I came to eBe and became involved in politics.

Question: How do you feel about the negative comments on your articles? Does it effect your articles you write after that?
Answer: I don't get a lot of comments that I feel are negative, but when I do, it depends on the source. Some I try to learn from, and some I ignore. I don't recall, however, that they have ever influenced something I wrote.

Question: What are your future plans for your newspaper and/or have they changed?
Answer: My present plans for the paper include sprucing it up a bit graphically, and beyond cosmetics, I hope to continue to support the idea that "We will not stand by", and I also want to do more military writing, with a particular focus on the achievements of eBelgian soldiers in general and Green Militia in particular. I am working with a friend from another eCountry on the possibility of a joint project, which has been launched but is on the back burner while a friend is taking a break for RL.

Question: Anything else you wish to share here? Last words, advice or promoting something...
Answer: I would like to encourage new writers to find their own voice. Don't try to write like anyone else. Find what moves you, and write about it, and keep writing. There is always room to grow if you keep trying.

Extra notes to clarify things.

Some may have noticed that this months selection was not well. Not that the chosen winner did not deserve it, she most certainly did.
I will explain in some way how the selections are made and how voting will proceed.

► From the beginning of every month until the 27th of every month i will keep track of all articles published in eBelgium. I will have a text-document with all the url's/links to this months articles(with the exception of government newspapers). i call that document the review-list.
► Any newspaper owner/editor who has made publications(articles) between 27th and 29th of every month but did not make any other articles that month will be adde to the next month review-list.
► On the 27th of every month i will review all articles and determine there quality and then see how many newspaper owner/editors have published and select 4 of them.
► These 4 selected newspapers will be placed in the poll i set up(see the previous article). This poll has 2 things to fill in:
_1) Your profile-link(poll will clarify what it is)
_2) 4 possible selections named as this: newspaper owners name followed by newspaper-link(so that you can take a look at the work of the nominee's).
► The voting article will be published on the 29th of every month(28th in februari) and this poll will last until it is no longer visible in the Top News feed on the main page(19.30 CET officially closed). The publication of the winner will be made at most 2 days after the voting ends.

I will retain the right to make the selections of the 4 nominee's for every edition. I will do my best to make the selection as fair as possible and from a neutral point of view(no pre-determinations of a candidate).
