[MQ for CP]Stability, Strength, Service, pt. 1

Day 2,142, 11:01 Published in Belgium USA by MaryamQ

Dear eBelgium:

As many of you know already, after serious thought, I have decided to accept Res Belgica’s nomination to be the next President of eBelgium. I am pleased to have the support of The Belgian Dream, All TOgethers, and Belgian Labour Party at this point, as well.

Many of you know me already, since I’ve been active in eBelgium for a long time, and I’ve been pretty outspoken about what I stand for, so I’m not going to go into detail about that here. Instead, I’d like to share a bit of my vision for the coming month, with the themes I want to focus on.

STABILITY

Notice the seam lines in these ancient columns. They remain standing not because they are fixed and immovable, but because they are able to move and adapt to conditions. eNations also need to find a balance between a stable center of gravity and the flexibility to move as needed. We need to find a middle ground between our core of known people and the younger ones who are moving up. Change is inevitable, but we will survive it best if we know where we are grounded and where we should adapt.

STRENGTH

We all know that eBelgium is a small nation, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept being a weak one. We gain strength, not by ignoring challenges, but facing them squarely together. We may not have a large army, but there is plenty of room to make the one we have better. We may face threats to our national integrity, but if we work as a team, we can overcome them. If we give up without trying, we will never know what we are capable of becoming.

SERVICE

Because we are a small community, we need a high percentage of citizens to be actively involved. We need people in government ready to put energy and creativity into making things work. We need people in Congress who are present and willing to tackle the challenges we face. We need people in our military who are interested in becoming top fighters. We need writers and business people to keep our community vibrant and interesting. Find what you like to do, and do it with gusto.

I am currently working to assemble a team of players to provide the Stability, Strength, and Service to move eBelgium to the next level. Do you have what it takes to be part of that team? If you are interested in finding out, please send me a PM, telling me a little bit about yourself and what you would like to do. There is a place for everyone who wants to make our eNation better.
