Mediocrity

Day 1,362, 11:08 Published in Canada Canada by Máedóc

eCanada you’ve become a shadow of your former self.

eCanada over the last year has seen the old guard die, no more DAL, no more back stabbing politics. You would think this was the greatest scenario to happen. Well I'm not convinced, It seems our country has become mediocre. And the worst part about being mediocre is we all seem to be accepting of the fact. One year ago if you were an inactive president, Impeachment threats would be coming from the opposing parties the day you went inactive. Being mediocre makes us weak.

There is a lack of new citizens willing to step up to the plate and replace the elites who have long died. That coupled with the remaining elites and baby boomers still around insisting on keeping government jobs and posts even though they cannot devote the amount of required time to do these jobs successfully. The real question comes down to a basic principle. Yes people do have lives, nobody can deny that, however, why accept an important position if you know you will not have the time to fulfill it responsibly. True it is a game but certain aspects require a certain commitment to full-fill them properly. It could be equally argued that accepting a position that you know you do not have the time to commit to properly is equally irresponsible. Stroking ones own ego does not make up for all the others you let down.

All these factors combined have left us in a state of self pity. I'm writing this article today not to pick on Canada but as a call for those still here to step up to the plate, to give birth to new political movements, to not settle for mediocrity.

It is up to those of us to remain to make this country great, to run an effective and efficient congress. To scope out those willing to still be active and represent us on global and alliance fronts. If we do not make the effort to be involved in TERRA and EDEN we will not be accepted into the loop of things.

Let’s turn eCanada into what it used to be, Be active , Be vocal, Do not settle for mediocrity.
