Issues of Newspapers, activities and forums
Steven Bosch
There have been some articles in the past while (and mostly none) that are worrying to be honest. Our press system is a mess (and we shouldn't only be blaming admin for that).
The fact is, we know that the newspaper system in eRepublik is problematic. But, we can't really do anything about that. What worries me is that eRepublik is a game that should firstly be seen from people who only play in the game. I know that many of us gain a lot from interaction on the forums, and more from chats on IRC, but it is worrying that we are in a situation where we need activity. This is a small country where we should be doing everything we can to get information out there and to get young players involved.
So, stop complaining for once and try and get people to see that there's more than merely working and training in the game.
For instance - we have a newly elected president, but I can't find the cabinet anywhere. A while back there were numerous people feeling we need to fight to free the Western Cape (with even the eSAARF Military Unit ordering citizens to fight FOR the Resistance), yet this region was contracted to eBrazil. Couldn't we at least tell citizens what is going on?
So I'd like to ask my fellow players - let's stop the idiotic articles and literally remember that we are a floundering country, where so-called "light reading" might just be the type of thing that'll force another player to quit out of boredom. Can't we kickstart something around here?
Keep the young players in mind - let's facilitate, let's create activity and while the system is broken, let's work with what we have.

The point of the "light Reading" was to show solidarity to what Leewas is trying to do to get some improvements into the game, now many may argue that it is pointless, but then the whole media should be scraped as it is a way of expression, so as to call it " idiotic articles" is abit harsh, but it's your opinon even to my mind abit mis guided but still respect ya for it atleast it got some activity in the mesia wouldnt you say?
Voted anyways
I have included your article in the update section of mine http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-secrecy-bill-1941695/1/20#comments
I agree with you Ex Banned'It, at least with you and Leewas. My article is aimed at the others.
The point I'm making is that while people write 1 line articles, there are people who have no idea what's going on (in my mind merely trying to prove a point the way we are in the media at the moment - we're being idiotic in what we're doing).
Fine, we can try and change admins' minds, but the thing is, from experience we know that is an uphill battle. And if we're losing players from eSA while we're trying to change the minds of admins, we might as well leave the game ourselves.
Therefore, I'm trying to just get us to at least bridge us from piffle and think about the game too.
Its impossible that we are unable to communicate - and with that I'm really worried about the lack of direction we currently have.
I expect leadership from Cabinet in this regard.
Just have the elitists yield their stubborn behaviour for a few days so that we can get things done
yeah leadership should take charge as myself have noticed a odd type of "monk" type of behavior and perhaps the way in which the media debacle is being handled is not the best I agree especially if it means we are going to lose future and current citz, so hopefully the new cabinet can tackle this asap and get eSA where it once was, cause the "ghost town" is irate at best!
