Interview With Presidential Candidate, Treian (Brought To You By Carl's Jr.)

Day 715, 20:12 Published in Canada New Zealand by Ozymandias Malifozik

This evening I got to sit down with Congressman and presidential candidate Treian, of the Canadian National Coalition.

1. You have 2 Vice-Presidents in your proposed cabinet. In the event of your absence, how would power be shared?

Treian: While I have two VP's selected, it is to lighten work load so that we may work faster and still efficiently. Jacobi is my official running mate and as such in my absence will be charged with my duties. This is nothing against Gaius, for he could do the job just as well, but being a former PM Jacobi will have a great grasp on what to do.

2. You have proposed a "Privy Council". Are these advisory positions or do they hold any authority?

Treian: It is my hope to allow the privy council to hold cabinet positions and have access to the forums, but their official job will be to advise me and keep me up to speed on the feelings of the different political parties. I want to be kept in touch with eCanada.

3. Can we keep Alaska?

Treian: I thought this question might creep up. Yes we won Alaska, but she does not belong to us. Our Brothers in the eUSA won back Manitoba and gave it back to us when the time was right. As long as it is to their advantage to have us hang onto Alaska we will, but when our closest ally asks for Alaska's return, we will return her. Broliance forever!!

4. How do you think you are a stronger candidate than Gaius Julius Caesar or William Duncan?

Treian: Hmmm that's a tough one. While both William Duncan and Gaius Julius Caesar00 are good candidates and worthy of a vote, I believe what separates me from them and perhaps makes me a better candidate for that vote is my non partisan nature. I have put together a cabinet made up of the best candidates from all of eCanada's largest political parties. Rather than give spots to only friends and/or supporters I am trying to put together the best from all eCanada. That's where I'm different.

5. What are your thoughts on Octavian_F?

Treian: I do not know the whole story surrounding Octavian_F so I cannot make an informed judgement, but he seems to be passionate about wanting to help better eCanada. While his motivations might be political and while he carries baggage eventually people should let things be and give him a second chance. I think everyone deserves a second chance.

6. You've stated that you oppose an expansion of EDEN on the grounds that it "dilutes effectiveness for very little payoff". Is this directed at small countries and if so, would you be opposed to the USA or other world power joining EDEN? Could you elaborate on your position more?

Treian: No not at all, small countries can still offer big help, this is simply aimed at those countries that are not in EDEN who have seen us beat back PEACE and may be looking for entry as a "safe haven" from invasion.

7. What do you think of private paramilitary organizations, such as Bruck's Canucks?

Treian: I think the private military groups are good for eCanada. While waiting to gain entry into the CAF, if gives citizens somewhere to go where they can learn how to fight and heal, where they will be given a weapon to fight and up their rank faster. I think these are all good things and I wouldn't want to see eCanada without them. I will try to encourage better and faster communication between the government the CAF and the paramilitary groups.

8. You have proposed an expansion of the CAF to 600 members, a new 15CAD reward for signing up in the eCanadian forums, and lower VAT and income taxes. How will your government pay for all of these programs, especially with the new 100 gold alliance fee?

Treian: I believe we currently have the money to pay for such an expansion without taking away form (sic) any other programs. In most governments inefficient spending and unaccounted for missing money usually adds up to a lot. I plan to account for every gold and CAD spent, and to cut out unneeded spending on things such as redundant organizations.

9. Where did you come up with the name "Treian"?

Treian: Treian is simply the merger of a nickname I was given in Grade 9 and my real name into one. It's hard to find a nick in games that hasn't already been taken, so merging two unique names gave me something unique and not already taken.

And there we have it. I told you it was quick. I officially endorse Treian for Prime Minister this month, for what its worth.

If you haven't already, check out the platforms of Treian, William Duncan, Gaius Julius Caesar, and Octavian_F.

Kudos to anyone who gets the reference in the title.

Stay tuned for my first congressional update tomorrow, and until then:

Stay classy Canada!

In other news, its getting harder and harder to find pictures of different hot Canadian women to close my articles with. It seems that in at least this realm, the internets actually doesn't continue forever...
