INTERVIEW WITH LEADERS FROM UKPP, WRP and PCP

Day 2,652, 03:44 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Harry Dalton

HEADLINES: LEADERS KEEP CANDIDACY CARDS CLOSE TO THEIR CHESTS, WRP PROVIDE TOUGH STANCE ON IMMIGRATION, UKPP ADMIT ONGOING INTERNAL CONTROVERSY and PCP ADVISE NEW PLAYERS TO 'HAVE A LAUGH'

With responses from all parties in (except for TUP leader Leo Balzac who is yet to reply), this is the second edition of Interviews with the Leaders before the upcoming Congressional Elections.

(Harry Dalton): Can we get a preview of what the candidate order would be?
(CRISPY DRAGON of UKPP): Due to the controversy we are facing internally it would be insensitive for me to disclose the list before my party is even informed. I wish to reassure those that have applied have been given equal consideration. Those that are active and have the best interest of the Party at heart will find themselves high on the list.
(HUEY GEORGE of WRP): I am afraid not. The Workers' Rights Party Congressional Candidate Order is decided by the party membership after discussion. These discussions are yet to finish and the final candidate order is unlikely to have been decided before the 24th
(ZAPHOD THE KINKY PSYCHOPATH of PCP): At PCP we have the best candidates money can't buy as money is a bourgeois construct designed to systematically indoctrinate the proletariat workers into working as puppets for the ruling, wealthy, dominant paradigm.

(HD):How do you plan to support new players better? (An issue raised by many candidates)
(CD/UKPP): Desire to support new players is in each of us. We all want to make new friends and grow our community. There is nothing extra I can give that isn't already done by more capable individuals. I am instead taking a different approach. I aim to increase activity at all levels in all media forms. There is little point developing new players if we only have a ghost town for them to play in. By increasing activity we increase the likelihood new people stick around.
(HG/WRP): 1. Providing support to Government initiatives to educate new citizens. 2. Support any Government / Congressional proposals to provide Government funds to the NHS via donations to those who run the charity. To also encourage Members of Congress to donate their Congressional medal gold to the NHS. 3. Support the provision of Government training ground loans to UK citizens who prove themselves in need, active and trustworthy. 4. Encourage respect in public dialogue to set a positive example that elevates the quality of politics in our country. This should enable a more intelligent dialogue on public issues to attract all citizens to take part.
(ZKP/PCP):eUK don't get any new players. But if we did, I'd tell them to save for Training Grounds, and make sure they stay away from DipDop. And to have a laugh.

(HD):What is your view on what should be done on immigration?
(CD/UKPP): The United Kingdom finds itself in a very attractive place, what with all our shiny new bonuses. We would be foolish not to take advantage of this. The aim would be to encourage heavy hitters or those with a large factory base to join us. You'll find that when you threaten someone's bonuses they go all out to slap you back. Of course every application needs to be vetted and Congressmen need to be responsible with their passes, that goes without saying. However with proper selection, education and guidance the UK can start to take small steps to becoming an Empire
(HG/WRP): The Workers' Rights Party main policy on immigration is to allow only select few immigrants in the country from allied nations. In practice we rely on the our Members of Congress showing individual merit to only approve citizenship requests after verification of intentions via questioning, considered thought and not before taking the advice from all other Members of Congress in the Congressional Citizenship Discussions.
(ZKP/PCP):They should have to do a grammar test. Sick of uneducated delinquents not knowing the difference between 'quote' and 'quotation'.

(HD): What is your main concern with the UK at the moment?

(CD/UKPP): My main concern is lack of activity. I don't mind the spam, trolling, or even the insulting bunch out there. They give us something to do. It is just a shame that erepublik is continuing its decline. Barring an intervention by the Admins the best we can hope for is to retain as much activity as possible and steal active members from other countries
(HG/WRP): No major concerns although there seems to be a slight public disquiet which could result in citizens working against each other in the UK possibly involving those who may not have the UK's best interests at heart; when we should all consult widely and work to find solutions together. This against a backdrop that we are in a delicate situation internationally. However this is a fairly 'run of the mill' situation for the UK in my experience... unfortunately. However we have a lot of bright minds, fine diplomats, strategic thinkers and pro-active citizens among our citizenry so I'm sure a path through will be found.
(ZKP/PCP):Serfartsalot

(HD): Are you considering a run for the Presidency?

(CD/UKPP): When I joined this game way back when, my ambition was to one day become Country President and lead the UK to greatness. That ambition hasn't changed. However, I accept that a good CP needs to be IRC active, I am not and probably won't be in the foreseeable future. Should that ever change I will most certainly make a run for President.
(HG/WRP): Only time will tell... however I would consider a campaign if I had the full support of the Workers' Rights Party membership and I felt I was in an excellent place to serve the citizenry of the UK as the Country Presidency. Additionally if Workers' Rights Party had strong misgivings about all the other candidates who had presented themselves which meant we needed an internal candidate to support I would step forward then.
(ZKP/PCP): Indubitably.
