Increase Dependency on Banks

Day 1,265, 10:25 Published in USA Austria by AlbanianWarrior

Over the past couple of months, the inconsistency and vulnerability of the global economy has led us all to bear witness to the most drastic change in erepublik history. Players only months old have surpassed veterans financially, and have created a new world where being considerably wealthy is now only a few days away. This belief in individuality and self-made businessmen has now led me to wonder: how far are new players, as well as veterans alike, willing to go to maintain superiority in this highly competitive laissez-faire market?

Let’s begin.

Every few days for over a month, I have been getting messages from new, pure souls, asking for money so they can build the foundation of their to-be corporate empires. Some familiar faces I gladly accepted, while some untested youths, I politely declined. It was during this month that I realized that running a bank at this time could be very profitable. That's when I began to think of ways to increase citizen dependency on banks.

For that reason, I propose a new way for banks to manage their clients. Just like in real life, I propose that banks begin to implement a credit score.

This score will be determined by 4 different factors:

1. The experience of the player (time wise)
Citizens must be a minimum of 3 months old, and will receive 50 points for every 3 month period of their existence.

2. The experience of the player (point wise)
Players must have a minimum of 2000 XP, of which 5% will be added to their final credit score.

3. Their overall medal count
Medals which require citizens to be actively involved in the game will have a higher multiplier.

Add the 3 separate results, and you have your credit score.

Ex. The credit of the citizen above would be calculated as such:
Part 1: ~17 months ÷ 3 months * 50 points = 283
Part 2: 5,046 XP * 0.05 = 252
Part 3: (19*5) + (2*5) + (1*10) + (10*5) = 165
Final Credit Score: 700

The final score will then be compared to the following illustration. A score of 1000 is the absolute maximum score.

4. Additional criteria.
This can include making that player work in one of your companies for a set number of days in a row (at 100 health) before they qualify for a loan.

This score will then be entered into a user friendly program, and will be available for all bank owners (who must sign up and download this program) to see which players are reliable and which are not.

We can look at this era of young, outgoing individuals as a burden on the economy, or we can look at it as an untapped source of wealth. The choice is yours.
