In Response to Cerb's Appeal to the eUS Military

Day 1,368, 16:42 Published in USA Ireland by Fitisin

The President of the USA, Cerb, released this article directed at members of the eUS Military Community calling for Unity in general and (I think) a unified command structure which would consolidate the two strongest forces in our country. It was well received so far in the comments.

Unity is so, you know, unifying.

And now...some appropriate music to play for the rest of the article: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTJs0T4EO_w

The important thing to remember about the character of eUS Mil players is our discipline. We'll fight where our Branch Orders tell us to fight, period. No psychology or tax dollars needed - wherever our leadership points, that's where we drop the damage. So, sorting out where those orders direct us would be for those far up the food chain than most of us. If you want eUS Soldiers to unite with the USAF, then you'll need to unite the two group's senior officer corps.

Might wanna explain the housekeeper with the kid that looks just like you, Mr. Discipline!

Having said that, speaking not as a junior level officer in the Guard, but as someone who has written on mil policy and tactics in the past, I have a modest proposal that might be the first steps towards reconciling our command structures. This might seem out of the blue, but here it goes:

==========
Let's get together and beat the living tar out of the eUK.
==========

Serbish-Indospolungary is indeed a fearsome enemy. If we are entering into an era that might be called later "The Great Restoration" that'll be a lot of work and a lot of patience on both sides...and let's face it, neither side of the equation is known for its forebearance with the other group.

So let's have a little pilot project, shall we?

I'd bet a saltpeter farm that there's soldiers in both groups that are thinking..."Man, the damn Brits piss me off."

Even at rest, the Brits are just irritating. Look at him!

For weeks turning into months they've had their boot on eIreland's neck. They're the fat little kid on the playground, who knocked down a little skinny kid and now is sitting on him laughing for like a month now.

British policy regarding eIreland

It's time for the Principal to show up and give the fat kid a major smack in the ass if you ask me.

For a brief few minutes, the eUSA was wiped by a determined assault from four major powers. It was a brilliant campaign. We fought hard but we were overwhelmed in the conventional attack.

After that accomplishment, the ONE invasion receded and we won back our territory through hard-fought RW's. But it receded and ONE moved to other fights.

The Brits aren't that classy.

No wonder they're bullies, look at their children! I'd be terminally pissed off too.

the eUK is like a tugboat that thinks its a battleship because it rammed and sank a canoe. Big deal, you can whip the smallest guy in the neighborhood. Throw yourself a party, Schmendrick.

So, if we wanna have a combined command structure; then let's test it with a Joint Special Task Force to Humiliate the United Kingdom.

Work together and bring in heavy volunteers from the eUS Mil and the USAF along with integrating staff-level and platoon officers for temporary units. Have USAF officers and eUS Mil PCO's commanding temporary units of integrated soldiers. Make them heavy-hitters, because we've been around a long time and are into the game and have a little game maturity.

I think the Fighting 69th is a fine name for this little project.

Group the platoon units by time slots, have Congress put together a special Fighting 69th appropriation, somebody dial up the Irish CP (assuming he's sober - those eIrish, gotta love 'em) and let's have a little fun killing Redcoats.

whether your civvie, militia, USAF or eUS Mil - nobody likes a bully. Let's wipe the puddin' head Brits, then head on out of there and see if they've learned any humility.

Along the way, USAF and eUS Mil soldiers will be talking with each other on IRC and fighting under the same command. Fun and productive - that's how America ought to do it.

Cooperation...those first steps are a doozy.
