R.I.P Daniel



It took me two days to get enough courage to bring this sad news to the erepublik community.

On August 22 Daniel Huddleston aka Armchair General past away in his sleep.
He was only 24 years old.

Daniel started playing erepublik on my request. I had known him because we played another game together and through that game we became eFriends. The first ever eFriend I admitted on my FB page of which I knew I probably would never meet for real. Because you see, Daniel lives in Saint Louis Illinois. Many miles from Belgium.

Daniel was a great creative mind. He was a brilliant writer and also made lyrics for his awful choice of music…rap. He was open minded and above all, loyal to his friends.
At first I was not going to write this article as Daniel was more often in two clicking mode then active in the communities he lived in. Well that is what I thought but after talking with people I learned that was not entirely true.

Daniel and I talked a lot about the meaning of life, religion and politics. I will quote him here as I feel this is an example of how he stood in to life. We were talking Buddhism…

"I have looked into this as well. I live my life fairly well, in my own opinion. I figure if I live to the best of my abilities, and God doesn't take me when I die, then He isn't that great anyway."
