History of the Kingdom of eSweden part tre

Day 589, 10:57 Published in Sweden Sweden by Krushnow

This is a direct continuation of my surprisingly well received series of articles (173 votes total in two articles and subscriptions have gone through the roof) about the rich history of our great northern nation. Although this is a direct follow-up to my last two articles (part ett, part två) you don't have to read them to understand the content of this one. We left of when Svea was taking her first steps into the world grasping a K-pist and a thirst for power.

Nordiska Expansionskriget

After tasting the sweetness of victory the swedish people were hooked, they were the mightiest people in the world! Why shouldn't they have territory to match it? And this time they wanted more than a small country like Denmark. After annexing Denmark the swedes turned their attention south, to their now-neighbour Germany which would be the natural next target. Only nine days after the end of the Öresund War Sweden entered a new one, the Nordic Expansion War (if this does not sound familiar it's because I just fabricated a name).

Although Sweden surely had plans of invading Germany neither country were expecting it to begin so soon. The accelerator was the far away country of Indonesia (who even then was a prominent figure), to understand this you must understand the mindset of the Germans at the time.

Although it's pretty hard.

Sweden was the world's most effective killing machine who was allied with Norway (rank 2 at the time) and the leading european countries. They had just crushed Denmark and the population was screaming for more blood. The Germans were scared shitless so to speak, so they looked for help in anti-Sweden Asia and Indonesia offered them an MPP. This made Sweden nervous and frustrated since it would bottle them up from the rest of Europe so they decided to invade Germany as soon as possible, the same day the MPP between Indonesia and Germany became in effect swedish forces stormed Schleswig-Holstein.

I'm really sorry about this picture, but don't blame me. Blame the 17th century painters for not making more paintings of us kicking everyone's ass.

Now the reason it's called the Nordic is because Norway invaded Russia (they had annexed Finland the day before the start of the Öresund War) the very same day as Sweden invaded Germany, this would play a vital role in the war. At the time Russia was a poor country with an insignificant population so Indonesia focused more on the Russian front, this left Germany alone against the Swedish war machine.

The Swedish war machine.

Even with the help of Poland and Indonesia Russia lost the war after only six days which resulted in Norway becoming the geographically largest country in the world. But the war in Germany would rage on for another fourteen days (20 days in total). Although the germans fought back the best they could soon only one german region remained, Saarland. Surprisingly (and against the will of many) Sweden didn't attack and instead signed a peace contract which returned Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt to Germany.

This came with some demands like; Germany must pay Sweden war reparations, sum 500 gold over the period of four weeks, Germany was not allowed to enter any MPPs with other countries than Sweden, also they will both enter a Non Agression Pact (NAP), these terms were to be in effect for four months after the signing. If Germany fail to follow these terms all German regions and the treasury will be returned to Sweden and if Sweden breaks the NAP they will give 1 500 gold to Germany. This contract was accepted by the admin.

It was not however followed by Germany which in turn led to the Second Swedish-German war but that's for another article.
