Hassan Justifies Defeat, I Recite Previous Article

Day 639, 14:59 Published in United Kingdom Switzerland by Billy Bob Joe

Hello again! Time for another serious article (perhaps my last in the UK, as I move to the next target of the now-growing Canadian republic)!

Canada is back (for real this time), and the UK has lost its last colony (You have burned your last town!). Exactly as I predicted in my previous article, Hassan is back to his old tricks again, justifying defeat by hiding behind his allies. So, lets see how right I was.

"I have to congratulate the EDEN forces on a well fought fight. They pulled the wall down from +70k to -11k in roughly 10 minutes."

Hey look, he is admitting defeat after all! Maybe I should change the title of my article! Good job Hassan, you are becoming a big boy now!

"It truly goes to show that the combined forces of a whole Alliance can manage to defeat the forces of one Country; little old eUK."

Wait a minute. My "Garbage Detector" is beeping. Something is up.

"But if you hadn't noticed, while you were fighting so gallantly in Alberta, you managed to lose Madrid and New Jersey, both regions which have huge importance. The damage and resources you spent in Alberta could've been used to defend both of these regions."

Oh boy, Hassan hasn't reformed after all. Darn. Thought I had something going.

Well Hassan, sorry to burst your bubble, but F/E are not quite that stupid. New Jersey was lost at huge cost (from Indonesians who weren't even supposed to be fighting) and with everyone simply moving to make Florida a doom fortress, and Madrid, well, in case you didn't notice, Spain managed to stop a RW in France launched by Hungary to stop a Spanish resistance from working out due to losing their MPPs. I leave you to figure out the rest. If nothing else, I can say safely that PEACE has doubtless spent all their Spanish gold at this point, because even if PEACE is quite strong, they always spend way more gold then needed.

"Once again, congratulations on winning Alberta. Next time however, you might want to think about strategic priorities. "

Good show Hassan, you managed to squeeze both a "We lost" confession to F/E and a "We won" announcement to the British public. By any chance have you heard of a fellow called Tony Blair?

"In regards to our own forces; we have improved by leaps and bounds under my term. Before I was Prime Minister, we never did co-ordinated strikes, and the Military was rarely funded. Now, co-ordinated strikes are the norm, and both last night and this night we managed to do roughly 80k damage on both occasions, within the space of about 5-10minutes."

FFFFFF

Didn't I cover all this stuff yesterday? Oh well. You keep saying "We are getting better guys! Did you see those Paras?" and we can keep getting regions back (too bad PEACE didn't give Britain a bigger slice of the pie, otherwise things like planning against the rest of the occupation wouldn't be so difficult). Also, thanks for reminding me on the costs. Just to tell any Brits reading this, Britain spent about 1300+ gold tanking, whereas F/E spent around a quarter of that (because we rely on lots of mobile forces hitting efficiently rather than dumping gold into strong hitters and hoping they can win battles on their own).

"We have learnt a lot over these RW, and they are lessons that we will keep with us forever. Our organisational skills are unrecognisable from before, and a huge amount of credit goes to the current Military personnell who have made this possible."

That is just an extension of the above portion.

"So, congratulations to both sides; EDEN for gaining Alberta, while managing to lose 2 hugely important regions; and the UK for showing how far we have come in terms of Military organisation."

An impressive repeat of your previous bleating. I almost think you are trying to convince yourself that you aren't just spouting stuff to stop the UK from rioting and throwing you from your nice little presidential seat.

"And to our Allies in PEACE; we know that you still trust us, and we appreciate all the help you have given us over the course of the RWs. We will continue to stand by you to the best of our ability, and we can only hope that our blossoming friendship may prevail."

Did I recall you just said that it was "the little UK" vs Eden and Fortis?

"We have not won the battle in Alberta, but we are getting ever closer to our inevitable victory in the War"

Yes, the gold pot at the end of the rainbow. Who knows, maybe you will spot it for a second before PEACE eats you to get a bigger share.

Well, lets see, how much did I predict Hassan would say?

"(1) You cannot win. This should be obvious to you, so you should probably give it up and hope you can achieve something elsewhere. The fact is, the UK army cannot beat Eden no matter how much gold it throws into tanking (IE the mysterious 800 gold that just left the British treasury). Your syrup mines are at an end, as we told you quite a while back. Stop embarrassing yourselves by wasting your gold trying to win an unwinnable battle with just your Paras (Who tanked like crazy, pushed the wall about 1k away from the Admin. centre, and were then whooped by the arrival of more troops)"

Well, I predicted our victory, so I suppose that counts for something (perhaps not about Hassan's "we lost but somehow won" speech).

"(2) PEACE shall not help you, or if they do, we shall still win. PEACE is already in Madrid (with most of their forces) and New Jersey (With the ones who think they are smart "sneaking past" the peace treaty). If they send help (and some PEACEniks may very well arrive to save you), they will almost certainly be unable to win unless they come en-masse (in which case they will likely lose one of the battles elsewhere)."

Well, I was spot on here. PEACE helped, sure, but not enough to help. More importantly, they sent even less tanks and support then they did for the end of Nova Scotia. So they hit, and the helped, sure, but when we launched our rush I was expecting an entire Hungarian Elite division to pop out and give us a hard, hard fight. Instead, I was greeted by a (half baked) Para-rush, a handful of PEACE tanks (two of whom fought too early, two of whom fought too late), some crazy UKers trying to kamakazi the wall, and whatever the Navy could bring up (not much). Don't bring up the "they were busy in NJ/Madrid" excuse either, those battles were finished hours beforehand.

"(3) You have no excuses besides "Our army cannot win". It is getting old to see you attempt to justify every defeat even when we show we can win regardless (First it is "We weren't prepared and had no allies" followed by "That region was useless anyway, and our allies didn't help"). I don't doubt you will attempt to make this a "victory", so let me make this clear. If you do not save Alberta (and, at the same time, you don't admit it is a lost cause and let it fall), you have lost completely. You will have about as much authority in PEACE as Spain does. I know some Brits (The ones who aren't on our side, but are at least honourable enough to admit defeat and advocate reform) are getting tired of it too. Stop pretending every defeat is a victory somehow."

Ah. This pretty much covers Hassan's article. I think it should be obvious what I got right (essentially everything this time round), but I suppose I will point out the things I predicted in this part:

Hassan making excuses (I don't doubt you will attempt to make this a "Victory")

Brits getting tired of Hassan and his excuses (Which can be seen further down)

No "glorious British Victory" in Alberta

To end this, I shall quote myself:

"let me make this clear. If you do not save Alberta (and, at the same time, you don't admit it is a lost cause and let it fall), you have lost completely.

UPDATE:

Well, I found another interesting article out there, might want to check it out:
