Harrison Richardson has announced in his newspaper, The Harry Dick Times, that he is running for President for a third time.
I, for one, hope he wins.
"Why?" You might be asking yourselves. Well, America... it's quite simple.
During his first term as the infamous Teacher (often incorrectly referred to as "Franco" by those who'd prefer you forgot about his first account) he managed to liquidate the entire Federal Reserve, and then dumped it all on the monetary market. 90% of America's gold reserves were sold for next to nothing. He did it for—to quote PrincessMedyPi—"teh lulz."
It's curious how this information is nowhere to be found on either his Teacher wiki page or his Harrison Richardson page. Aw shucks, I guess it's just not that important.
During his second term he presided over the worst series of defeats in eUS history; including the destruction of two of the three Q5 hospitals that America had at the time. As some of you may remember, I found it quite entertaining to witness such a colossal failure at every level of government... headed by none other than the honorable Harry Dick.
He certainly has my endorsement. If his third term goes anything at all like his first two, the United States will be flushed down the toilet in a month.
So, do your self and your country a favor and vote Harrison Richardson for President. It won't cost you anything.

GLaDOS, Longbaugh, Michael Collins - Send me some details. Anyway I love Gaius Julius.
I would have liked to see you be the President during that term...no one could have done a whole lot better than he did. He worked hard under a very difficult set of circumstances to salvage it. He failed to fix things, but at least he tried man.
As I recall, I read that HR did that not for the lulz, but for revenge against the President at the time. But w/e, it was messed up - but he's been attempting to fix it for a very long time.
So there you go.

I know what citizenship you are (now). My comment was directed at the country in which I published this article: The United States. Also, I don't hide my past. I routinely answer any question asked of me and I make sure to let people know that every minute detail of my eRepublik past is on the wiki.
If there's one thing you cannot say about me with any shred of credibility, it's that I'm disinforming or dishonest. This article still stands unchallenged. And, it'll remain unchallenged... because you can't challenge the facts of history.

Meh, I posted a long response, but eRep decided I was online too long. Short version:
You're one of the few in this game I don't like. If you had defected in a more adult manner, I would have more respect for you. Instead, you whined about being criticized and decided to take your ball and go home. That's why I lost so much respect for you.
I like the part in eRepublik where I lose interest and concentrate on running silly writing contests and joining private militias. Thank God for Longbaugh, or I wouldn't know what the hell was going on in the eWorld.

The feeling is mutual; though you're one of many. However, I will once again reiterate that I left the country because I wanted out. I didn't whine over being criticized... I whined about the disintegration of political transparency and fortitude spreading across the USA at the time (if that can be called whining).
Not to bring up age-old issues again, but the fact that Ansen eventually capitulated to apologizing for his misdeeds was bittersweet for me. If I were Ansen I would have investigated the issue before attacking the person calling me out (he didn't). That's, of course, beside the point because it turned out that Ansen didn't have to investigate the issue. His eventual apology letter admitted that my criticisms were SPOT-ON. So, he assembled his UIP minions to lambast me with hate and slander when he KNEW I was right to call him out on it. The fact that my own party asked me to take down the article was after-the-fact. What made me want to leave was the fact that this all went down--and I got it from all angles--when it turned out I WAS RIGHT.
You can it whining if you like. But, I was right and I quickly became sick of the slimy political world of the eUSA... once I finally saw it for what it was.
Also, for you to indirectly suggest that hordes of people didn't WANT me to leave is sort of ridiculous. They didn't like clarity then and they still don't.
I speak for myself and myself only. If that came off as an indirect suggestion, my apologies. However, I for one did not want you to leave. I do not want anyone to leave (except Ajay maybe...).
You'll notice I was not one of the ones who outwardly criticized you for your opinion. That's because I prefer not to alienate people like that. While I did not agree with your opinion, that is not my reason for disliking you. I respect your opinion. What I don't respect is your reaction.
I read your article introducing yourself to Ireland. You whined about the way you were ostracized. Period.
Finally, I tend to think Ansen "admitted" that to appease you and maybe calm the storm that had brewed. Maybe I'm wrong, but the fact of the matter is that I (and 99% of eAmericans) still disagree with your opinion on that matter.
Your facts are wrong. First, he was president as ThisGenMedia. Second, he didn't steal all of our money until 6 months after he was president. Third, his nickname was Franco on IRC and the forums, that's why we call him that. Fourth, that was all over a year ago and we've moved on.
