Canada elected 40 Congressmen.
But who are these people?

Shure, you may know the one or the other prominent one like TaiwanPanda, Citizen B and Jacobi, but there are 37 more people in congress.

That is why I will publish a series of interviews with the people that represent you [or at least should].

What brings you to Canadian politics?
I've been in it for time.

Could you decribe your political agenda in short?
Improve Canada's status in the New World into a stable, powerful ally.

Why did you join CPF?
The Canadian Progressive Front is an accepting and progressive party. Great bunch of people come and go through it and are always changed for the better. Those that are longer members are anchors to Canadian society and are very friendly to all I know.

What do you like most about being in congress?
Helps put my creative ideas, experience and activity to good use

If there is one thing you could change in eCanada, what would it be?
Less mudslinging and dirty tactics from some parties.

If there is one thing you could change in eRepublik, what would it be?
PvP War Module...🙂

Most favourite book/movie/series/band/sport:
Book- The Gargoyle is excellent.
Movie- Inglorious Basterds

Why should we re-elect you?
I won't be running for congressperson this time around. On December 5th, expect me to run for a serious bid at Prime Minister.

What brings you to Canadian politics?
When I first joined eRepublik it wasn't until after one month that I figured out the real wonders of this game. After joining the party meant for me (the DAL) I started dedicating my time to politics and after some days of hard learning I started my conquest to get to congress.

Could you decribe your political agenda in short?
I'm very active and therefore have allot of time to get my congressional stuff organised. I am very Dedicated to making my voters proud to have put me in congress and I will do try my best to influence change.

Why did you join DAL?
I joined the DAL at first because a friend introduced me and the party I was in at the time didn't really appeal to me. At first I didn't really get involved in the party but when I started browsing through the different topics I found how much I really had in common with the people there. I got more involved and ended up getting a job as an ambassador to the CPP. Nowadays I'm active in the party forums and irc everyday.

What do you like most about being in congress?
Since my first term has only started I don't really know what I like the most but just assuming I think I'm gona like to actually make a difference in our country and its decisions.

If there is one thing you could change in eCanada, what would it be?
I would like to improve our programmes aiming 2 clickers and new players who might otherwise become 2 clickers. I guess you could say that's my thing 😛

If there is one thing you could change in eRepublik, what would it be?
To get me as an Admin!! yeah wouldn't that be awesome? 😛

Books- Twilight saga (yeah, I know what you're gona say 😛)

Why should we re-elect you?
Well...since my term has only started I have nothing to show for myself in congress but all in all...'cause I'm the Utter Spam Goddess!!! Yeah!

What brings you to Canadian politics?
Originally, it was an urge to try and help the government establish better contact with the people they serve, but later I found that congress debate was quite enjoyable, so I stuck around. I also wanted to try and make the eCanadian political atmosphere a little friendly, which is why I first ran as a Party President.

Could you decribe your political agenda in short?
Well, it's not usually my attitude to set an agenda, I just kinda go with the flow. That being said, I'm glad I was able to return to congress, it's been a long while, and I hope to contribute as much as I can to our legislative assembly. I'm still debating weather or not to run for a third term as Party President, or even another term in congress, since I would like to return to the Canadian Armed Forces.

Why did you join CSD?
CSD allows it's members to more independent, and is quite lax, which is what I like. It helps bring down partisan politics, and I can really enjoy myself.

What do you like most about being in congress?
It feels rewarding, knowing that you're working to help lead your country.

If there is one thing you could change in eCanada, what would it be?
I wish people would realize that a party name and logo seriously means hardly anything, and that silly biases against other party members, would stop. In my opinion, we're all members of the same party: Canada.

If there is one thing you could change in eRepublik, what would it be?
PvP, I think it's something we all want

What brings you to Canadian politics?
I study history in University and politics is one of its largest components. It's only natural that I would be attracted to the political side of eRepublik which is, in my opinion, the most developed module of the game.

Could you decribe your political agenda in short?
My goal in government is to bridge the gap between the government and the people. I can do that through a dedication to transparency which entails that Congress posts its discussions in the open areas and through the publication of my own votes which, I admit, is now long overdue.

Why did you join CPP?
I joined the Canadian Paradox Party fairly recently and was elected Party President shortly thereafter. Party membership was flagging, the forums were inactive and convoluted, and the party elected just two Congressmen last term. I wanted to help them reverse that trend. It didn't hurt that I could identify with many of its members and their community philosophy.

What do you like most about being in congress?
I enjoy the competitiveness and the political ideas that charge through the house. It's exhilarating. I enjoy being able to change how eCanada is run.

If there is one thing you could change in eCanada, what would it be?
I would like to see more of an attempt to reach out to new eCanadians to help them reach their goals. I would also like to see more of an attempt to educate new Canadians about their role in eRepublik and in eCanada. Perhaps history lessons would be appropriate as well?

If there is one thing you could change in eRepublik, what would it be?
Well, is it bad if I say two things? Firstly, I would like to make a change to the electoral system. Strategic voting has become very important and the parties are dictating who becomes a Congressman more often than they should. A man with 560 votes should be elected to Congress over someone with 3 or 4. I think the eRepublik political system should take population into account more often. One way is to allow people to vote in whichever district they wish without moving. Another would be to eliminate voting by district and introduce a simple table of candidates and a pure system.

The other thing I would like to change is the war module. It's - and this may sound rude - boring. I have a lot of interest in war and battles and strategy and I have not been able to show much of an interest in calculating points and attacking a wall. I'd like to see an actual battle take place. How can it take place with thousands of people? I'm not sure.

Most favourite book/movie/series/band/sport:
One of my favourites is by an American Author names John Steinbeck. It's called Grapes of Wrath and it's set during the Depression era of the 30's in an area that became known as the dustbowl. It's a politically charged book that is a must read for anyone interested in the subject.

Why should we re-elect you?
I believe the number one difference between myself and others is that I try to reach out to the people. Whenever I see a question about government, I answer it - often with an article in the hope that I can reach others with similar questions or concerns. When a citizen wants change in government, I respond. I bring up the issues in Congress. I don't ignore them and I won't ignore you.
