How many terms did you serve in Congress?

Do you have or had any other offices?
Back in eGermany I held the position as ambassador to Canada for about a month. Currently I serve as the Canadian ambassador to Belgium.

What brings you to Canadian politics?
After Germany joined PEACE, I decided to join Canada. Our people are some of the most kind ones on the eWorld, our policies have ever been most respectable, and back then I also did so because I felt guilty for having been in a country which so betrayed the last ATLANTIS ally which held to it. Since then, I have not been disappointed a single time and my respect for this nation has only grown, as has my desire to keep it like that, or to make it even better!

Could you decribe your political agenda in short?
My greatest interest lies in foreign policies. My wish is to see Canada continue this path of tolerance, nobleness, and loyalty we have trodden upon for so long, and to make it a strong nation able to protect and a good friend to others without exerting these imperialistic villainy which unfortunately possesses so many other countries. I also think our economy should focus a bit more on export and thus devalue our currency a bit, but only as much as to still make it attractive to live but also to start business here.

Why did you join DAL?
Scorpius invited me back when I was quite new to Canada, and I've stuck around ever since. The DAL is also quite well-organised and a very responsible party.

What do you like most about being in congress?
Power. By which I mean the chance to aid the country in the most effective and direct ways possible by influencing its decisions and make sure it follows a path which leads it to gentle glory, of course. It's not like I've got a small Napoleon complex or anything.

If there is one thing you could change in eCanada, what would it be?
To be frank, I think that with the fall of PEACE GC Eden has become obsolete, and to prevent it form turning into the next PEACE in turn giving rise to yet another mega-alliance, I wouldn't mind seeing Canada parting ways from it. And perhaps becoming a full member of SOL along with our continued Brolliance, and to be open for other countries which aren't aligned with any alliance and don't wish to be either.
Also Noyst for national mascot, ~hyuu~

If there is one thing you could change in eRepublik, what would it be?
Remove all of the giant alliances like PEACE GC or Eden. Although the former has shrunk down to not really be such a nuisance any more by now.

Most favourite book/movie/series/band/sport:
While I have a strong linking for manga, my favourite literature undoubtedly comes from the hands of Friedrich Schiller. His dramas are excellence of language embodied, in style, mastery, and telling alike. I also tend to enjoy a good anime once in a while and am currently watching Revolutionary Girl Utena, which is growing on me quite rapidly. Sports? What is that?!

Why should we re-elect you?
I feel uncomfortable writing here since it just feels kind of right to emphasise on one's strengths I think, but I guess I can't deny that I am quite diligent and dutiful and once I commit myself to something I really am very focused on it, and it happens that eRepublik and eCanada have strongly caught my interest, and thus I shall continue to do the bets I can while staying loyal to my ideals.

Blood

Most favourite book/movie/series/band/sport:
Harry Potter
Batman Begins
Entourage
Linkin Park
Hockey and Baseball

Why should we re-elect you?
why not?
this is the part where you are supposed to say touche

Sir DeLaShaunRon Smith

In which Region did you run for Congress?
Newfoundland & Labrador

Where do you live in RL?
Ottawa, Ontario

How many terms did you serve in Congress?
2

Do you have or had any other offices?
I served in Jacobi's cabinet as DM of Immigration, briefly was Minister of Immigration and was in William Dunca's privy council as his economic advisor for a short time.

What brings you to Canadian politics?
I've always found politics interesting and fun and thought it'd be the same way in eRepublik. Turns out it's pretty interesting but it also mimics real life somewhat in that sometimes people are too black & white in their positions.

Could you decribe your political agenda in short?
Economy. My focus has always been Canada's economy and will continue to be so throughout my term as congressman.

Why did you join CPP?
I had originally joined the Canadian Paradox Party because I liked the Godfather and Tom Hagen was the Party President at the time (True story). I stayed with the intention to help rebuild and retool the CPP but my term as Party President made me sour a little bit on the position and of some of the members that were more power hungry than loyal to the party which is why I left for approximately a month. That and vacation. I came back because I liked what Caesar was doing with the party and hope to help continue building momentum.

What do you like most about being in congress?
Having a voice and helping shape new policies for the future.

If there is one thing you could change in eCanada, what would it be?
To have an island... In Western Europe maybe... Nah, it rains too much there and dental hygiene would decrease significantly.

If there is one thing you could change in eRepublik, what would it be?
The economic system is broken. There is no way for a company to become insolvent. I would let companies go into the red (with some provisions of course) and if necessary go bankrupt. I think there should be monthly 'taxes' or a fee that should be paid to keep a company running, again, with the consequence of losing your company. Essentially, get rid of all the garbage companies out there that should not exist due to over supply and/or bad management.

Most favourite book/movie/series/band/sport:
I play football (touch) 3 times a week and I am pretty much glued to the television Saturdays and Sundays watching college and the NFL. Go Blue!

Why should we re-elect you?
Congressional elections are a popularity contest for the most part and will continue to be that way no matter what people accomplish in congress. For the most part, the general public don't see what happens and what kind of work/effort is put into the job. Until that changes, big names will always have an advantage.

That is it for now. Stay tuned for part 2.
