Good Causes Get GOLD Funding

Day 766, 13:48 Published in USA Canada by Buck Roger

I received about four plans in written newspaper article format in response to my earlier articles "Merry Christmas, eRepublik" and "Get Your Proposals In." Thanks to all who have participated! I have selected two of them for funding. I am awarding the rest of the GOLD to the eOlympics! (Which is cancelled.)

ePajacyk received no funding, as it is national in scope.

e Fight club received no funding, primarily because the organization uses companies. (One of the criteria is for the charitable effort not to found or expand companies.)

irt2h1377 will receive 25 Gold in funding. He would have received more if he had demonstrated experience with volunteer work and other bona fides. I look forward to seeing what he does, as he may receive more in the future. The idea of using the GOLD to advertise informational articles directed to newbies is a good one, so long as the articles are of high quality. I ask my readers to contact irt2h1377 if they would be so kind as to "donate an article" they have written for republication in his outreach and education work. Encouraging newbies to seek out help in the form of Q1 weapons is also a good idea; a single gun should be accompanied by links to some of these articles, which they can help vote up, as an alternative to pure GOLD advertising. Good luck!

Emergy Maxfell and the Emergy Institute will receive 100 GOLD in funding, despite asking for only about 50. The reason is that the purpose is not only clear, and clearly in line with the criteria for a charitable cause that I outlined, but also backed up by a citizen who clearly has the traits both of an architect/organizer and a tireless volunteer, which is the personality type required to excel in this kind of work. I trust that he will use it well.
