Newton> so, why did you leave America?
GLadDOS_> I left during the archibald tenure, and archibald was a boring as fuck president
GLadDOS_> plus, the sands where calling to me
Newton> you were a newer player at the time though. what did you find most appealing about the game?
Newton> most repulsive?
GLadDOS_> appealing was the chance to engage in politics, the format of beta was only slightly repulsive to me
Newton> interesting.
Newton> so, you went to Pakistan because Dio was calling..

GLadDOS_> I found the idea of the pakistani empire to be the most interesting concept the game had laid infront of me at that time, also I was from /v/ and the country...well, it enticed me
Newton> did you do anything there?
GLadDOS_> I was mayor of chengdu province, and I helped run the country twoards the end of the country's tenure as an empire. nothing specific, but I helped keep the country a cohesive empire during the troubled beta-V1 transition
Newton> interesting.
Newton> what made you leave and go onto japan?

GLadDOS_> the death of the pakistani empire. I felt the country was going into a dark age period, and I felt that I could contribute more to the game from japan
Newton> why japan?
Newton> why not a more powerful country?

GLadDOS_> japan and pakistan had a really good friendship at the time, and at that time I felt I could find a home there
Newton> What happened in Japan?

Tribute to Japan

GLadDOS_> I was a multi term minister of foreign affairs, and a two term vice president. I was to run for president, but real life got in the way and many many stressful headaches later I took a break from the game, returning to my native sands. Japan was a great time in my e life, it allowed me to build my eresume, and interact with some really cool people
Newton> do you feel you could have won your CP run in Japan?
GLadDOS_> I would have been president of japan eventually, yes
Newton> >eventually
Newton> 😛
Newton> so from Japan, you returned to Pakistan?

GLadDOS_> I wouldnt have won the first election
GLadDOS_> but the second one I would have ~_^
GLadDOS_> yes, I went back to relax and help agentchieftain, my mentor, keep the country on life support
GLadDOS_> it was during this period that the romanian empire
GLadDOS_> TO'd pakistan and invaded most of indochina
GLadDOS_> I was also named a holy prophet of dio during this period, in recognition of my service to the country
Newton> interesting
Newton> Can you explain who agentchiefain was to the people who aren't really old?
GLadDOS_> Agentchieftain is the Chief prophet of dio, and basically the successor of dio to the throne of pakistan
Newton> cool
GLadDOS_> he ran pakistan through the troubled times and is to this day the head of modern dioism
Newton> nice

Newton> so after this, did you move to Russia?

GLadDOS_> lemme think
GLadDOS_> my history is rather long and complicated
GLadDOS_> lol
Newton> it's true
Newton> my history is all tied to the eUS, so it's much less complicated

GLadDOS_> While in Pakistan, I was named SG of PEACE
GLadDOS_> I forgot
GLadDOS_> that part
GLadDOS_> lol
Newton> rofl
Newton> the first SG iirc?

GLadDOS_> third
Newton> crap
Newton> okay

GLadDOS_> it went nicolae carpathia, Matthieu Bonne, then myself
Newton> oh rightttt, hahah
GLadDOS_> yeah
GLadDOS_> after that I went to Russia
GLadDOS_> and I'd rather not talk about my exploits there 🙂
Newton> and I'd rather you did 😉
GLadDOS_> 😐
GLadDOS_> fine
Newton> you gotta be honest with the people at some point
Newton> 😛

GLadDOS_> I was president of Russia
GLadDOS_> and managed to troll most of the world

Newton> What did you do there?
GLadDOS_> notably Americans and Russians themselves
GLadDOS_> I was interim president during a very bitter struggle between russian political parties
GLadDOS_> I was a political puppet of the hungarians, the Free Russian Party, and the constitutional Democrats party
GLadDOS_> long story short, I saved the far east from scrabman, and gave the urals to hungary
Newton> interestingg
Newton> did the hungarians compensate you?

GLadDOS_> after my term as president of russia, I was off to slum it in italy and hungary for a month
GLadDOS_> no, they never did anything
GLadDOS_> I never accepted payment for anything, nor was it offered
Newton> on that note
Newton> do you consider yourself a better or worse troll than hankscorpio?

GLadDOS_> hank was the best, bar none
GLadDOS_> we wouldnt have west alaska without him
Newton> indeed
Newton> so after your homeless escapade, you went to the eUK?

GLadDOS_> yeah pretty much
Newton> and then you did stuff there.
GLadDOS_> this was when the eUK was actually genuinely neutral and I had made many friends, notably kumnaa and hassan
GLadDOS_> I worked my way up the political ladder and spent my most active time in the game as a member of the british community
GLadDOS_> I was elected to the office of prime minister twice, was a multi term minister of foreign affairs, and constantly active in PEACE/Phoenix as a member of the british government
Newton> what exactly were you doing during the whose Fortis debacle?
GLadDOS_> lol
GLadDOS_> depends on which part of the fortis debacle
Newton> the UK faggotry part
Newton> or just tell all
Newton> :3

GLadDOS_> well
GLadDOS_> fortis went through many stages of the euk government
GLadDOS_> regardless of what people say, the UK wasnt really opposed to the general idea of fortis
GLadDOS_> it was just the weighted voting, and later the very obvious anti british sentiment that percolated through foreign relations at the time
Newton> hey, we got rid of the weighted voting
GLadDOS_> of course you did
Newton> and there was no anti-brit sentiments until the Huns occupied Scotchland
[17:25:17] but by the time you had fortis as an idea was unpopular among the british public
GLadDOS_> monkeybottom there wasn't
GLadDOS_> the newly formed EDEN hated us
Newton> EDEN😕=America
GLadDOS_> and the private sentiment of the us government was one of scorn
GLadDOS_> trust me I worked intelligence as well
GLadDOS_> 😐
Newton> the American public still loved you
Newton> we still had open arms for the Brits

GLadDOS_> but the British public was rather turned off by that point
GLadDOS_> and the Hungarian government was rather welcoming to us
Newton> what did they offer you guys?
GLadDOS_> we were offered a new hospital for scotland, as well as the chance for some fun and colonial conquest in canada, it also really set us up for PEACE membership
Newton> how much of a driving force for that were you?
GLadDOS_> I was a key player
GLadDOS_> 🙂
GLadDOS_> as MoFA and as a member of parliament
Newton> i think you were the most important player that pushed events that way
Newton> confirm/deny

GLadDOS_> Deny
GLadDOS_> hassan and kumnaa where the main forces behind it
Newton> lolwho
GLadDOS_> hassan pessaran, former prime minister of the united kingdom and former ATLANTIS strategic commander
GLadDOS_> and kumnaa, current king of the United kingdom, Former Prime minister and master tech guru
Newton> interesting

GLadDOS_> well, altogether the driving force was the real euk government
GLadDOS_> let me go find an old GF article that explains it all
GLadDOS_> (he was a key player as well)
GLadDOS_> it's an oldie but goodie, I just gotta find it
GLadDOS_> http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-government-over-the-past-few-months-part-1-900053/1/20
GLadDOS_> that image is also where I got my classic spy moniker from
GLadDOS_> true story
Newton> aha
GLadDOS_> these people where key to the bringing of the UK into PEACE
GLadDOS_> I was only a player in a much larger conspiracy
Newton> interesting

Newton> so, you knew HR's secret all along
GLadDOS_> yeah
GLadDOS_> oh yeah
GLadDOS_> I did
Newton> that he was TGM et al
Newton> why didn't you spill on an enemy?

GLadDOS_> I forgot to mention i was a player in the notorious "party"
GLadDOS_> back in the day
GLadDOS_> I was an unseen ally of theirs, I just liker pere and franco on a personal level.
GLadDOS_> I never ratted him out because I am a man of my word, if nothing else, and I gave him my word I'd not tell
Newton> why did he tell you?
GLadDOS_> because he trusted me
GLadDOS_> 🙂
GLadDOS_> I was a member of the notorious party, remember
Newton> tbh, i have no idea what you're talking about
Newton> the party?

GLadDOS_> lol
GLadDOS_> do I have to give you a history lesson about the party?
GLadDOS_> 😕
Newton> yes, you do
Newton> :3
Newton> i am publishing all this

GLadDOS_> the reason franco was banned
Newton> OHHH
Newton> i gotcha

GLadDOS_> 😐
GLadDOS_> yeah
Newton> i'll link to his whole 72page tell all.
Newton> for those who won't go and read it
Newton> the Party was basically like the theocrats

GLadDOS_> more or less
GLadDOS_> with a 1984 spin
Newton> indeed
Newton> a Franco spin

GLadDOS_> no
Newton> no?
GLadDOS_> it wasnt just franco
GLadDOS_> you cant forget peregrine and trisk
Newton> i don't know who they are, so i can
Newton> 😉

GLadDOS_> peregrine was a founding member of the USWP
GLadDOS_> a friend of roby petric
Newton> ah
GLadDOS_> I forget trisks backround
GLadDOS_> but together they where the core triumvirate that ran the party
Newton> yay history
Newton> so, now you're in america.the reasons for that are laid out in a previous interview i did with you

http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/an-interview-with-gladdos-1469601/1/20
GLadDOS_> indeed
Newton> i think you're the only person i've interviewed on the Newton Factor, and this is the second time
Newton> so congrats
Newton> haha

GLadDOS_> woo
Newton> any more plans atm?
GLadDOS_> my plans are to do what I can to make america better, one day at a time 🙂
Newton> This was interesting, thanks.

The biggest change is that for every battle all the active alliances will automatically be available when a battle will be started.

The new set of MPP rules are interesting. It appears that it will fundamentally change the rules of the game. Currently, the conventional way to activate another countries MPP list is by attacking a home region. Now it appears that if you attack one of their colonies, that will active their MPP list, and your own.

Small countries have suddenly become much more valuable. They can do preemptive strikes now, with EDEN or Phoenix backing. Say Austria wants to attack Poland. They don't have to wait for Poland to attack them to activate a bunch of MPPs. They can just suddenly sign a bunch of MPPs, and just attack! It'll be a huge game changer.

Smaller countries now need to be dominated by bigger powers, or they will just be used by the other side. This game is for big players only now, more than ever.

If you don't like the new rules, sign below. I personally like the implications it can have...
