Final words as MoFA

Important notice before all:
During last night, Croatian Foreign Office org, official org of Croatian state and official org of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia has been stolen by ShadowMJ, with purpose of deceiving public and for his own personal agenda. He wrote article presenting it as official Croatian stance. Later he confessed his deeds to Game Moderator.

My mistake and my responsibility is how he reached this org. This person used to be Croatian MoFA in the past and still had access to org’s mail. Mail that I did not change, nor did I change password for this org as I had utmost trust to former MoFA of Croatia, Obersoldat (who does not carry any guilt on what happened this night). Therefore I apologize to public for such malicious materials being presented from this newspapers.

As we just from yesterday have new governments and new people in positions, learn from this mistake. It is not enough that you change password on your orgs, change e-mail above all, you never know who has access those e-mails and can simply reset password.



Croatia gives it's maximum for allies. Maybe it doesn’t look like that all the time, maybe we can’t show ourselves enough on other’s battlefields, because sometimes it looks like we fight in some egoistic, RL related war with Serbs to deal with our frustrations. Well, concerning that matter I have to wake up people and say that we have no such problems with them. They are opposite alliance of which they are practically leader and we have always given our best, 120% to deal with their damage, to distract them from focusing on other targets. We proved that this is game for us by playing it strategically, letting them conquer our regions, giving up on regions many times, even letting them to conquer all our regions for some greater purpose. Or lately, not pursuing goal to delete Serbia, which in current circumstances is quite easy task, but we retreated not to drain ourselves and not to drain our allies from their wars and battles. We play this game as a strategy, with support of friends by our side, no matter what happens and how good or how bad it is we know they will stand next to us and we will stand next to them.

I will make a tiny digression here and mention how relations improve ingame and what happened these days in RL. In all countries there are nationalists and extremists, without exception. But there also are people who see each other as nothing less than humans. No matter the skin color, nationality, religion. These days you can read articles across the world about one RL meeting of eRepublik players. For example article of dSoKre, on topic of regional meeting which was organized in Belgrade (Serbia) by Croat. That is continuation of what Croatia and Serbia created in this game. Not in one day, one month, one year. In the past there indeed were harder feelings between us. But now we mostly consider us just as enemies, or let’s say opponents ingame. I was asked recently, how would I feel if Croatia and Serbia are supposed to be allies, if we were forced to sign MPP. I do not think it is possible. But not for reason that firstly pops-out at your mind. Let me just say that in copy of eRepublik, Croatia and Serbia indeed are allies. But here, Croatia is loyal to EDEN. Above all and forever. Serbia is leader of ONE. Neither one of us will ever give up from our ideals. We look into the future, but respect the past. Respect all the people, fighters, countries that have done everything for us. We could not look ourselves into the mirror not only if we would feel that we betrayed Romania, Greece and Bulgaria, but also Ireland, Finland and all other leafs from EDEN tree.



Even by having stronger opponents always on our backs, ask most of EDEN countries who is their best ally. You will probably get one same answer: Croatia. What we do in this game we do for ideology we believe in. Loyalty. Friendship. Brotherhood. And for such we sacrifice ourselves. How much you give, that is how much you can expect back. When Croatia prospered, when we had good bonuses, we tried to make maximum from it for benefit for all of us. We used it to extend, push our limits wider, becoming stronger yet again we fought till every single atom we had, fought for common goals, fought for our community.

Attitude we have taken among allies is equality and utterly respect for everybody, no matter the strength, the numbers. Amount of damage is not measure of friendship and dedication to each other. Some months ago we welcomed new member to our family, by unanimously vote of every member of EDEN Turkey became trial member of EDEN. Unfortunately, during time, tensions grew more and more and have put EDEN and it’s members in unhealthy atmosphere within we all do not feel comfort. We have been watching, listening, offering support in relations between Turkey and Bulgaria, yet again trying no to get too involved into matters we were asked not to. We were asked to respect wishes of others, to allow people, general population their right on own opinion and choice. But in fact, our intentions were for benefit of all sides involved, both Turkey and Bulgaria, both EDEN and TERRA. People have their own will and their voice needs to be heard, congress and government are presenters of that voice. That is why there is next important lesson.



Compromise.

I cannot stress enough how important this is. We all can be stubborn and narrow-minded but eventually it will backfire to us. Many of us have own opinions about these problematic relations, many see only one perspective, some are trying hard to be objective, and fact it is that there is no easy conclusion, no easy solution for either side involved. Many would like perfect world, with perfect people, with perfect life. Where we can build our utopian society. But then, reality puts us back to where we are - imperfect world.

What people need to understand that Croatia by itself is not EDEN, as Romania is not EDEN, as Ireland is not EDEN, as Bulgaria is not EDEN. Every living person from EDEN is part of this big collective. That should mean that their voice needs to be heard. Voices of many, not voices of few. EDEN is our fragile heaven that we need to cherish. And to do so, people of EDEN needs to be united. It is common thing that problems appear. They do and always will. It is us who must choose way how to deal with them. Shall we use brute force, arrogance, selfishness, provocations? Or shall we use values on which Brotherhood of EDEN is based? Respect, Friendship, generosity, sacrifice. EDEN community needs to wake up. To start talking, discussing, openly admitting mistakes and moving on. With respectful attitude towards others, your acts shall be heard and accepted. What you give is what you get. Trolls from ONE may call it pathetic propaganda, but no matter how you call it, that is what people of EDEN sincerely believe in. This is purely the main reason EDEN has survived for so long time.

For how long shall this situation, this conflict endure? From what you have seen, Croatia is loosing it's patience. Just as everybody else, on all sides. What we are asking is maturity of decisions. Croatia firmly stands that this case can be and must solved by diplomatic means. I must emphasize again: people need to focus on finding a solution. Where there is a will, there are also possibilities. Both sides need to stand down with their negative behavior and start talking. No wonder Bulgarian and Turkish players are irritated and very anxious, know this: all the rest are also.



Decisions.

One word here: ePoland. I don't want to see that scenario ever again in my life. Again idealistic way of looking, you would say. Do not underestimate the power of the influence. Again, I am not talking only about eRepublik. Because, here we created almost identical world that we live outside this session, and outside it works amazingly. And that is propaganda, manipulations, brain-washing. People need to start seeking for their own opinion, instead of having thoughts of the other ones. Biggest problem is not realizing you are under influence.

What Poland did to us always stays as bitter taste in our mouth. Sure this is a game. But this game is not played by artificial intelligence, it is played by people of flesh and blood, people who grieve and joy, people who have feelings, young and old, serious and playful individuals. And it's all about them, it's all about why we are here. I believe, by every single aspect of game, this game should have been closed long time ago. But this strategy has one huge advantage: social interaction. People meet here, talk, get to know each other. Those are players who still live in this eWorld, not because of game but because of each other. Yet again friendship.

And all these people have their own will, their own choice. But, do they? What makes people actually conscious? Their thoughts? Their opinions? Their acts? When it comes to Polish society I have to remember one's quite, one's decision, not decision of free, unspoiled minds, but decision of few who decided the future for all:

This lesson stays for whole life. Even in the beginning of the game, when Poland was weakly populated society, outnumbered by enemies and weaker than allies, it was Croatia's most loyal, most important ally. Not because of inflicted damage. Those never were and never will be foundations of this alliance. But bonds between our people were unbreakable. Closest brothers, unquestionable support to each other, proudly giving last gold and last wellness for brother.
Once respected and loved in Polish society, next moment backstabbed. I don't want to see that scenario ever again in my life. Yeah, idealism. But can we reach it? Can we try to reach it? Your conclusion by now should already be: this was story of real, grey and black world, story about betrayal. And no matter how you put it, no matter the reasons, it is the final actions that count. But, that is the past. Past which we left behind us and move on. I do not care, I will not care, and nobody in the future will not care about tiny reasons that lead to big decisions. That is the way world works. Beware of decisions you do today, with full responsibility you will have to face their consequences in future. Concerning matter of decision makers, I want to finish with one quote: What we do in life echoes in eternity.



Mistakes.

Part of being adult, mature is ability to move on. Not blindly stick to old beliefs but look for new opportunities while we open new visions ahead of us. Quite a lot people find it hard to admit their own mistakes. At least not to public, to others. As they will have to swallow pride and show themselves as weak. That is not true. Admitting mistakes is not sign of weakness, but sign of greatness.
In this article I have no intention to put blame on anybody, same as I will not justify anybody. It leads us nowhere. Biggest truth is, all of us carry some responsibility and guilt for current situation. Yes, all sides carry part of the guilt and all must be aware of that. But that is where we must stop. Here I will put one article I consider quite objective. Written by member of POW, Polish unit that did not accept decision made by smrtan and Cerber on behalf of all Poland. In this article you can find not only his perspective, but names of other authors where you can read perspective of other sides. Here are reasons why involved sides are acting as they are and what mistakes were made by all of them.

If we continue with accusations we yet again start never ending loop. It leads us to dead end. Accusing each other is childish. What people have to do sooner or later is to move on. And as sooner people realize that, it is easier for them. With all due respect to people, being narrow-minded is foolish. People have to look outside of the box. Have in mind, I am not taking sides here. Not for Bulgaria, not for Turkey, not for Croatia. Just, be wise.



Loyalty. Respect.

We always try to respect wishes of beloved ones. But, not every time they are good and wise ones. Not every time they are right, no matter how far somebody pushes it. Tell me, how about respecting wishes of everybody else? How about listening to others? How about doing sacrifice and not looking at your own secret wishes? EDEN needs to look out for it's members. Their interests, wishes. And no, I am not talking about regions and resources here. What has made EDEN survive for years while all other alliances collapsed can be explained by many names, many adjectives, many compliments, but in the end all is summarized in Brotherhood. Brotherhood of EDEN.

Perspective. Context.

Above all, I must say here, EDEN is not about damage. With Turkish damage we got upper hand above opponents alliances, but 95% of history EDEN has been outnumbered by damage and population. We are not trying to make rest of people to do either this or that. What I see for long time now, people lack perspective. They lack to see outside of the box. It will have great impact on beliefs and behavior when people free themselves of thoughts imposed by the others.



Consequences. Solution.

I had my own point when I felt I will never again type www.erepublik.com in my browser, when I felt humiliated, when I felt beaten and betrayed. But at some point you switch from being so narrow-minded and move on. eRepublik helped me to become mature as I never thought one game could. What happens is that after disappointment, no matter how big, you simply get over it. What we wish, what every allied society wishes is that we all take wise decisions, not blinded one. We must be aware of responsibility and consequences that are happening now. Risky game is played indeed. It is not about reasons and problems that appeared. It is about attitude.

There is always a solution. You just have to try hard enough to find it. Thinking out of the box, being able to review own opinion and beliefs are what makes us different than multis, bots. Blinded people have no vision. We all need to start making one. We all need to start trying and working. We all need to start finding solutions. Can we free our minds and think about long-term consequences of all this?

I urge to all sides to stand down. Passions are high and will lead nowhere good. It already got to the point when people are heavily disturbed. Stop this madness while it is not too late. Solutions are everywhere. We just need to find them. With good will and some effort I strongly believe it can still be done. YES! It is that simple.

Again, history is written by decisions. Doesn't matter who made them, doesn't matter if they were justified or not, manipulated or sincere, decisions are what counts. In the end of football game, it's score, result that counts, not attempts to achieve victory. In EDEN, we have accepted many countries as one of us. I must mention Ireland here. Country that did not pass it’s first try to become member of EDEN. Same what happened to Turkey in these days happened not only to Ireland but other countries as well. Yet, we offered them a chance to prove themselves, it was not easy for them, it was not easy for the rest of EDEN to move on, but what Ireland is today they have built because they believed in values of EDEN.



To Bulgarians, so many times proven friends and brothers, I need to emphasize that we are here. In articles and comments you could see disappointment of people in allies and EDEN. We care for you more than you think at this moment. We did not leave you. Recent actions are not directed against Bulgarian community. On the contrary. What we seek is all that has been written above. Croatian community just as the all others, see Bulgaria as close and impressive ally. I do know that Croatia may seem as a bad guy in eyes of Bulgarians now. That is the risk and burden we took upon ourselves. But with faith and vision for the good of the alliance. For months we encouraged progress on relations with another pro-EDEN country. That is what seems reasonable. Let me make this clear. Bulgaria is full member of EDEN. That did no change. You are and you remain full member of EDEN. Only some political rights were restricted to Bulgaria. It is not possible that Bulgarian representatives are banned from EDEN channels. You told us that from first day being member of EDEN, even trial one, you felt something you had never experienced before. Respect. Equality. Indeed, we accepted Bulgaria as one of us, more than 400 days ago we welcome you to Brotherhood and offered you unconditional chance to prove yourself. And you did, you did great. Bulgaria became coherent member of EDEN and with time built it’s name within EDEN and within this game. Let us remind about those times.

Turkey was given the same chance to prove themselves. Just as many as EDEN countries in the past, just as Bulgaria some 400 days ago. And as Turkey is trying hard to prove themselves, to prove their intentions to new allies and to new enemies they gained, they are in the middle of focus by all of eRepublik societies. Commitment not only to alliance’s goals of the present, but to it’s future is important part of being full member. All of us have laid a stone to make foundations of alliance stronger, making it stable and ready for the future.

After this long adressing to world’s public on issues within EDEN alliance, I have few more words for Croats, as I am leaving function of MoFA. Before I do that, I would like to thank everyone for their time, effort, and commitment, I have met a lot of amazing people this month and I hope we will stay in contact.



Moja prva zahvala ići će slijedećem ministru vanjskih poslova i mom do maloprije kolegi iz vlade, Olivaneksi što mi je uopće omogućio da ovaj članak izdam i nakon formalnog kraja svoga mandata. Želim mu sreću i uspjeh u novome mjesecu diplomatskih aktivnosti te ne sumnjam kako će svoj posao obaviti profesionalno i sa punom odgovornošću prema hrvatskom narodu i narodima EDEN-a.
Kao ministar vanjskih poslova moram uputiti izuzetne zahvale svojim suradnicima, timu kvalitetnih i iskusnih ljudi koji su skupa sa mnom vodili vanjsku politiku ove zemlje maksimalno se trudeći da ispunimo ne samo očekivanja koja su stavljena pred nas, već i inicijative da poboljšamo druge segmente naše zajednice. To su prije svega vMoFA Antonio Wimer, vMoFA kalimero00 (inače igrač GiovanniST koji je promijenio account) i DominionHR kojemu sam prepustio zadaću i odgovornost brige nad veleposlanicima. Njima se također želim zahvaliti, veleposlanicima kao aktivnim i neizostavnim dijelom hrvatske vanjske politike koji su svojim izuzetno brojnim izvještajima ovaj mjesec, a čije financijsko izvješće i same izvještaje po tjednima možete pronaći ovdje upotpunili visoki diplomatski status koji Hrvatska gaji u našem virtualnom svijetu. Također se želim zahvaliti i prethodnom ministru Obersoldatu koji nam je, iako kao neslužbeni dio tima, bio potpora tijekom cijelog ovog mandata. Vlada i kongres besprijekorno su surađivali sa našim ministarstvom na čemu im svesrdno zahvaljujem.

Bilo je zadaća kojima se nažalost nisam stigao dovoljno posvetiti, primjerice veći broj članaka i time bolja komunikacija sa stanovništvom kroz novine i njihovo informiranje o fokusu našeg djelovanja i našim rezultatima. Međutim izazovan mjesec uzeo je svoj danak ponajprije u količini vremena i truda utrošenog za direktne diplomatske odnose sa predstavnicima drugih država kao i za aktivnosti unutar granica naše države. Primopredaju ovoga orga obavit ću netom iza izdavanja članka, dok su kanali već predani novom ministru, a za sami kraj želio bih se zahvaliti predsjednici Josx i hrvatskim igračima na danom povjerenju, bila mi je čast i privilegija zastupati ovakvu zajednicu.
