eRepublik? [republished for Mishbili]

What did I see and understand of the game for the time I spent here?

So...I came here to help my fellow eCountrymen build a better eWorld. Or so the game advertisement said. But what did it turn out to be? This new eWorld is based on wars, slavish taxation, bugs, betrayals and nothing creative. No economy, no journalism / it was finished off by the voters club/, and we don't even have to get started on politics, accessible to everyone. Even the military module lost its sense with all these paid sweeties as stashes and packs.

Still the question remains - what am I still doing here? The only good thing in the game is the people that still log into it. But because of the vanity and ambitions of some at the position of the strong countries, we are on the verge of losing more and more of the players. More and more people of the small and weak eCountries leave the game because they don't see any alternative for them and their countries. It is disappointing to see how for a couple of bonuses the larger countries destroy the smaller. And not just taking the regions but keeping them entirely deleted. For what? Is it so, that killing the interests of the others to the game will make them happier? Or being arrogant against the weaker will make them better and more virtuous?

It is pitiful to see that a priority of an eCountry is to "squash" the baby boom of the opponent one. Aren't we all people, looking for a way to entertain ourselves here from time to time? Is it really that in order to succeed we have to rely on the breaking up of some friendships instead of building new ones ourselves? Is it necessary that the new players have to "pay" for years for the errors of someone that is no longer even amongst the eLiving and of whom the new players haven't even heard?

Find the answers to these questions by yourselves, if you even feel like looking for answers. I am tired of looking how people with which I had fun and which I value log out of the game. People, who have given so much to the others log in less and less or simply go twoclick, until they eDie, having found no acclaim for everything they have done for the greater good …
When the selfishness leaves, then and only then can we start enjoying the game TOGETHER.

Until then, we will continue being witnesses to hysterical articles, betrayals, broken "friendships" and the constant inactive players / hopefully not some of my friends, I have lost enough /.

Enjoy the game and good luck!
