eRep in Maps - October 23rd

Day 703, 18:23 Published in USA USA by Mainegreen

As usual, let me start by saying you must visit eGobba's World Map. This tool is invaluable to anyone, especially in helping me try and collect the visual representation of what the heck is going on in eRep.

In order to understand these maps here is the legen😛

Included below the continental pictures is a link to allow you to see a larger version of the image.

Editor's Note
We've got someone new on board helping out: Allan Dobrowolski. He's a Malaysian national and will be providing much needed help on Asian matters. In celebration of this the touring edition today is in Malaysia. Welcome aboard!

South America

* The president of Peru, Wally Wilson, was impeached. This was evidently part of a PTO by Polish factions who control the Partido de Emigrantes, which has a 51% stake in congress. This follows the legal draining of the Peruvian treasury into the accounts of the org GROM Storage. I say legal because it was done with a legitamate congressional vote, and thus can not be reversed by the admins.

North America

* In a return to easily understood, classic tactics, the US initiated a double whammy against Hungarian occupied Washington state. Remember, the resistance war prevents Hungary from retreating. This double whammy keeps the US initiative in the war versus Hungary, as Saskatchewan was about to close with no win for the US (no loss either to be precise). The resistance war was started by SaraDroz, a Canadian.

* The forced Hungarian landswap of Saskatchewan back to Canada was successful. Remember, this also automatically closed the battle the US had open with Hungary here, with no winners or losers in that battle. Had the US not attacked Washington, Hungary would have had initiative to attack again. I report the battle heroes for the automatically closed battle as well as the resistance war, though I do not map the automatically closed battle, as there was no real outcome from it. I've marked it as a landswap. It's a hostile one, but as the owning country is giving up a region to another country voluntarily, it is one under the technical definition. The brolliance didn't resist this one too hard, saving up it's strength. The heroes for Hungary (as the resistance and in the closed battle) were Dacee, a Hungarian and Diabolus1907, a Turkish tank. The hero for the US in the closed battle was American, Killing Time. The hero for the Other Side in the resistance war (technically the Hungarian side, but not really) was DaRkO 206, and Indonesian going for the battle hero award.
Editor's Note: Thank you Anon Bliss! I put the damned blazon on the wrong province! xD Whoops. Fixed.

Europe

* A resistance was started in Flanders. I will resist the urge to make terrible Ned Flanders jokes. Flanders is a Belgian region, in the unified state of Belgium and Nederland. This was started by Highst, a member of an organization apparently called 'The Group'. The group is very well organized, having it's members, who I do believe consist of mostly Romanians, get Hungarian citizenship. My understanding is that this is possibly both an attempt to PTO a new country, Belgium, should they liberate it, and to cause chaos in a PEACE ally. Okely dokely, I think that about covers all I might know.
Editor's note: Hahaha. I was way off. That happens. Seal Team 6 is tricky. This is Seal Team 6. Their 'group' avatar is awesome though, so I will keep it there.

Asia

* Resistance wars were started in Northern Thailand, Central Thailand, North-East Thailand, and Eastern Thailand by Alfagrem. Why so many now? Well, if you hadn't heard, Thailand has decided to resume it's independence from Malaysia. This in itself is not a problem, as this was by treaty, however it turns out Alfagrem started a resistance war in the exact place where Thailand was to be reborn, and thus paid for it. However, Thailand will remain one region for a bit, by choice. Alfagrem is probably a bit peeved for having actually helped out and is apparently causing the most chaos he can. This article is a great read for those wanting to know more.

* Thailand has emerged again as an independent nation. Using the resistance war started by Alfagrem, Thailand emerged in the region of Central Thailand. Ironically, this give Alfagrem his first resistance hero award. So, I guess a win for him? Maybe? The hero for the resistance was Japan's #2: axllyne. The hero for the other side was andrecor, Japan's #4, doing it for the medal.

Opened Training Wars

* The Czech/Slovak training war in Western Slovakia started up again.

* Iran is having a training war in Balochistan.

Closed Training Wars

* The training war in Sabah came to a close.

Thanks for reading, and if you wouldn't mind, could you vote up the touring edition of this paper? It's in Malaysia today!
