ePeru - facts and myths

Hello fellow US citizens. The reason, why I've decided to publish this in United States is that you have quite a large population - and I think that large audience will be helpful in clearing up some things concerning ePeru. Besides, from what I've noticed you like long articles.

There are few factors that have to been discussed concerning the pTO of ePeru and the role we've played there:

2. The 'thievery' thing
3. eArgentina and EDEN factors
4. Future of ePeru

1. pTO in general

I've heard many times before how pTO is wrong, bad, illegal - however: game mechanics allow it. Also the game rules do not forbid those kind of actions! Of course we all know that there are few types of pTO: typical one done for money, 'official' being a part of larger strategy during war, and the last one which includes many reasons for doing so besides those two mentioned before.

Here in eRepublik we cannot forget about the real-world, of who we are, where we are living. It's a massive country vs country game where hostilities and friendships taken from RL often become a major factor which dictates relations between countries. But there are also hostile or frielndly relations which do not have any foundations taken from RL.

In eRepublik we are here to create new reality - the new world, and even if we start in our RL-home countries we are not forced to stay there and we can change our virtual lives. Here we can be a citizens of any eCountry.

If we decide that we want to be for example citizens of eJapan or eMali we are free to do so. And after we reach this country, apply for citizenship and get it we should be free to fully participate in any activities concerning this particular country. Even if IRL we live somewhere else. Because it is not a real world - it's an e-world.

2. The 'thievery' thing

We, the Poles from GROM/PMTF/POW/ePoland were quite often called thieves, robbers, rouge groups. As for rouge groups - many of us are members of private military units - therefore we are not binded by ePolish MoD or EDEN orders as we are not a part of official army. Even so, we always fought against PEACE GC, we fought for our allies, side by side with soldiers from other countries - during hard times of loses and during times of victory.

It is also true that the pTO of eMexico and eBolivia some months ago was done by some members from mentioned groups. During III eWW we also tried to pTO Brasil. Those actions probably are the reasons why they hate us so much.

But the ePeru was different - a new country with high resources and almost no native population was a perfect spot to set up a 'colony', especially that many of us were in general tired and disgusted by the politics in ePoland. That's why we decided that we'll become ePeruvians. Citizens of virtual Peru in eRepublik world.

We taken this step when the citizenship module was introduced. However we weren't alone there. There were some Peruvians, there were many Argentinians, some Spaniards, Americans, Brasilians - we can easily say that the population of ePeru was made mostly by rl Poles, Chinesee, and South-Americans.

We started to congress for the first time in August. Then in September, October, November. For the first time we ran for presidency in November. Even though we could do so earlier. I suppose there wouldn't be any problems in acquiring presidency. Yet still we did not. We were supporting Wally Wilson in October - American who claims that he is the last true president of ePeru. In August we were voting for Chisholm - another American, in order to stop pro-PEACE candidate Jockey, who is Argentinian. Later in September he was the only candidate and therefore he won.

What the most hilarious thing in the whole case of robbery is that during first two months we've never tried to donate any money or to issue any money for us. We followed the rest of the congressmen and were proposing donations to the official organizations.

Both of them were hacked or should I say "hacked"? Which cost over 3k gold both in PENs and gold. It was never widely discussed in press, and none of this org is banned, there is low possibility that the case was reported to admins by people who were responsible - however I ca not be sure what the did after the first hack.

It is well known what was done after the second hacking - we've decided that it is enough. Presidents impeachment followed that decision, aswell as a end of cooperation with those who are saying that are representatives of Peru and who were not trustworthy. (I should remind that it is quite easy to pretend that one is real Peruvian, especially if someone knows Spanish).

In order to keep money safe and to pay for the help delivered by many citizens many donations were proposed, resulting in transferring large sums of PEN to accounts of GROM and PMTF. It could be enough to call us thieves if not one fact: all of this PENs are no more. They were spent for defending ePeru from eArgentina and eBrasil invasion and for independence war. And what is even more hilarious: we had to sacrifice our own resources, gold and money - in fact this whole 'thievery thing' we are being accussed ended not with enormous profits but with something opposite.

Now tell me what thief is giving money for someone who he is supposed to rob? Tell me why we've decided to defend ePeru and to spent our own money? Is this a way of thief?

3. eArgentina and EDEN factors

"And as I said earlier. I have never eaten my word and neither I did this time. By the way we gave Argentina word that they will get Great Andes 4 months ago already. Again I kept my word."

You may ask why? eArgentina a post-Atlantis and PEACE country then was an enemy. It is only my assumption but: ex-Atlantis+EDEN liking as they said+with very good relations with eSpain+the most known erep double agent as EDEN SC = Hey, they're friends spying PEACE for us.

But it is only something I suspect. How peacefull and neutral eArgentina is we've seen when they were paying Indo, Hun and Serb tanks during RWs in ePeru. We've could also see their army helping Brasil in attack on ePeru during last invasion on eCroatia. Yup - the same eBrasil who they were going to oppose with the high iron. The same PEACE-bully in the region Brasil which they are now wanting to use in order of regaining high iron!
Sounds funny, ain't it?

There were also other reasons for invasion on ePeru - getting rid of Polish thieves and the true ePeru for real Peruvians. Well - as I said - Peruvian populations in eRep is small, and I suppose after getting rid of us, they'd be TOed once again - but by their nice and friendly ALA-brothers. They can pretend the are rl Peruvians and they were there before - and the precious high iron is just to precious to be left alone.

But... why this whole free-ePeru-idea is just a propaganda? Because citizenships are not being deleted or reseted because of invasion. Because eSpain brothers are also very friendly with exPEACE members - Indonesia and Hungary - they even paid them for tanking, and many from the ex-PEACE countries came to help in invasion. eArgentina even change their taxes for iron when they aquired Great Andes. They helped eBrasil in conquering rest of ePeru when we were fighting in Croatia. In the press comments they were saying that the will defend GA till death.

Someone who is just helping another brother-country against TO is doing so? Rather not.

4. Future of ePeru

Future is not so bright but for sure it's brighter than a week ago. Three of ePeru orginal regions were restored, at the moment we have to gather money: for MPPs (we tried with US but we were rejected) in order to supply population with fights, we have to build up hospital, and we have to prepare for the war - as it is almost certain that eArgentinians won't stop in their quest for high iron.

And as for other things: we cannot stop anyone from coming to Peru and starting a company, looking for a job or for citizenship. In fact it would be great if immigrants come. We really want this country to grow in strenght and to develop - in fact after we came there we invested our own money since the country income and growth was near 0. With many foreigners, and many multifarms and low native and active population.

We want this country to be opened for our allies and for those who are willing to help it in developing and becoming a major player in eSouth America. Why? Because in the terms of the game we are ePeruvians, even if in real life we're coming from another country. We've won in democratic elections, obeying the game rules, with no multi accounting like some of our opponents.
We've proven that we care about this country by fighting for it. And certainly we are not going to abandoned ePeru and let it be torn apart by neighbors - as some of 'patriots' sitting now in eArgentina or eBrasil did.
