Ensuring a Prosperous Economy [Wombatman25 for Congress] (Part 2/4)

Day 1,580, 10:46 Published in Canada Canada by Wombatman25

I hope you're all recovering well from St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

Yesterday, I wrote the first article for my congressional campaign. I am writing the second today because I won't have much time tomorrow.

My platform will be published in 4 parts:

1. Promoting an active community
2. Ensuring a prosperous economy
3. Maintaining eCanadian Military Supremacy
4.Summary

A clear presentation of economic policy should be mandatory for those who wish to serve in congress.

If elected to congress, I can assure you that there will be no surprises from me. I will follow my platform to the letter.

Ensuring a Prosperous Economy

A prosperous economy is crucial to a successful and strong nation.

However, as Plugson stated yesterday: "The tools we have to affect our economy seem to be more limited now". Plugson is, unfortunately, correct. Plato has stripped us of many of the tools that can influence our economy. However, we have to make do with what we have.

Resource Bonuses

I support keeping regions that give us economic bonuses. A perfect example is East Midlands, a region that gives us oil.

This allows us to create more weapons and helps our economy grow faster.

As congressman, I will promote defending Canada's strategic resources at home and abroad.

Investing in New Players

Investing in new players by giving them loans to develop their lands is an investment that pays off in the long run.

I am in favour of loans, grants, and reimbursements to eCanadians to develop their economic production.

High Import Taxes on RM

We have seen that the implementation of tariffs on raw materials has not caused a shortage or a huge spike in prices.

I support high import taxes for several reasons.

- It allows eCanadian industry to develop because of higher prices.
- Foreign sellers are less likely to lower our prices by dumping their cheap RM.
- If foreign producers do decide to sell here, the government will make money from the import tax
