Minimum Wage Remains Unchanged

The minimum wage has been contested for over a week. Yours truly, in a twist of irony, is obligated to report on this issue. I'll proceed as objectively as possible.

The campaign to reduce it began over a week ago when debate in congress over managing the value of the CAD was progressing slowly. Modest relief in labour costs were proposed by Saskatchewan Congressman Addy Lawrence of the CPF in the form of a revised minimum wage of $1.00. After 72 hours of debate, the bill was moved in game and lost 20-16.

A handful of comments during the initial debate stated that if the reduction was smaller that congressmen would change their position. The bill was re-introduced at $1.25 and after 48 hours of debate was moved in game.

The vote was nip and tuck, tying at 5 and at 12 and at 15 however the bill was killed less than an hour ago by a vote of 18-15.

With a 5-2 lead in favour of the bill passing, a turning point occured as an article published by TommyDouglas of the CSD in his newspaper The Greatest Canadian.

In a final twist of irony, TommyDouglas, a resident of Saskatchewan, started telemarketing in support of his cause and PM'd his Congressman for support. Unbeknown to him, the Congressman for Saskatchewan was yours truly, and had already voted in support of his own bill.

I appreciated the e-mail.

Even in eRep, fact can be stranger than fiction.

Battle Report from the Delaware Front Line

Five hours into the battle, eCanada and its allies have brought the wall underground. It currently sits at -25,649. The attack by eCanada was swift and focused and has the Brits reeling. A strong counter attack is expected overnight as the balance of power related to the time zone shifts to the UK however a strong counter attack is expected tomorrow from eCanada and its allies.

The current Hero of the battle is Neco1, a Level 18 Lieutenant out of British Columbia, with -1,469 damage. Neco1 and several other eCanadians and eAmercians fought side by side with shouts of "For the Brolliance!" accompanying every charge across no-man's land.

CAF Pooch Campaign, or not?

The UK attack on America and eCanada's support of the defence against that strike has taken its toll on CAF soldiers. A kamikazi order was issued during the battle and many CAF soldiers returned to eCanada is sad shape with respect to wellness.

Details are sketchy at this time as news is breaking. There are unconfirmed reports that some soldiers were sent to certain companies in eCanada that were believed to be foreign owned interests of enemies. Confirmed reports from GM's across the nation are citing lost productivity, some citing that identifying a foreign held interest is quite difficult. Emilio Sanchez explains:

"There is no way to tell who owns a company. As Wilhelm said, orgs can be moved around so it is impossible to tell. Even if you look at the org and it is in China... It could be a Canadian company, just the owner moved it to China to start a company etc. Or the other way around; The org that owns the company could be located in Canada but it is owned by someone from a foreign citizen."

One voice of reason on this issue stood out above all others. Highly regarded GM in the diamond industry, screamingslave, had this to say:

"I've always had a great relationship with my CAF employees. Their jobs are always held for them and they are fired when its requested.

These employee's have always been awesome in donating back the loss the company suffers from low wellness production. I never even thought of this until a CAF soldier suggested it to me when I asked him (in my noobness 4 months ago) why he wanted to hurt me working at low wellness...

...CAF soldiers whant to go out and help our allies and defend our country, thats the point of being a soldier, a little co-operation would go a lot farther than name calling and accusations from both sides."

It would appear that weary CAF soldiers are reporting for duty in poor shape for reasons no much greater than to preserve Worker Medals. Follow screamingslave's lead and talk to your CAF employees, being upstanding ecitizens they will likely reply in a manner consistent with screamingslave's experience.
