Day 33 -

North America
After a series of rousing victories yesterday, the Americans lost the newly liberated region of North Carolina. Now that the United States is the natural enemy of Hungary (and vice versa), the Hungarians attacked North Carolina conventionally. As has been the theme for the past month, the USA struggled, and ulitmately lost.
A somewhat positive piece of news, is that Hawaii has returned to the Union. I saw somewhat, because with no Hungarian occupation of Hawaii, the Serbians may be able to gain a border with the United States. The Americans were trying to keep this border with Hungary (the threat they know), as opposed to a potential border with Serbia (the one they don’t).
The attack would come through Taiwan, who Serbia is Natural Enemy with. The capturing of Eastern Taiwan, would give Serbia a border with Hawaii, and allow for an attack on the United States. The wrench in the plans though, is South Korea. They have attacked Taiwan themselves, and managed to beat the Serbians to an attack on Eastern Taiwan. The bad news, is that Taiwan is winning. Regardless, this is a selfless gesture by the South Koreans.

Serbia moves through Taiwan to attack Hawaii?

In Canada, the United Kingdom lots its second to last region, as Ottawa was liberated by the Canucks. This leaves only Prince Edward Island in United Kingdom control, and it will likely fall tomorrow, after the anticipated Resistance War is started.

South America
Brazil has won against Spain, with the victory in Northeast of Brazil. They have used this victory to try and gain some momentum against Spain, and started a Resistance War in Center West of Brazil. This is currently a fiercely contested battle, as both sides have won 3 rounds, resulting in a tie.

Europe
Something that happened a few days ago, was the expulsion of Britain from Ireland. The Brits had loudly proclaimed that the Irish would never return, but it didn’t take Ireland very long to retake their entire nation. They have subsequently lost Shannon, but such is the way of the world right now.
Germany continues to gain ground on Hungary, although they can’t seem to break through against Poland. But, for that matter, neither can France, USA, Canada, or China. They are down 3-0 in Saxony against the Poles.
Lastly, Portugal was wiped by Mexico. Surprising, because both sides have gone back and forth in this war for the better part of a month. It will be interesting to see not only how long Mexico can keep Portugal occupied, but what Mexico does next, if they try and press their luck anywhere else.

Middle East
This region is practically dead, with Macedonia completely dominating the region. With the loss of Sinai yesterday by Cyprus, the Macedonians attacked Tabuk and won that region as well. Cyprus only controls Al Qasim, and an attack from FYROM is expected soon.
Lastly, Egypt has been wiped, and Iran dominates much of this region as well. Just another area of the map that ONE owns.

Asia
China avoided being wiped by holding onto Jiangsu, which they just liberated from Hungary. With a win there, they liberated Shanghai and have attacked Zhejiang. They lead this battle 2-0 currently, and are hoping to open a big lead before ONE wakes up.
The Chinese did however, lose their central regions, meaning that China only shares a hostile border with Hungary.

Overall Analysis
Hungary seems to be the world’s wiping boy right now, as TERRA and EDEN are seeing unprecedented success against the ONE superpower. Unfortunately, this success has yet to be duplicated against Spain, Poland or Serbia.
It also looks like ONE may re-wipe America. This could be the theme going forward. ONE wipes a nation, and when they move on, the country regains their regions, only for ONE to return in a few weeks. It is conceivable to see this strategy play out with China and USA for the next few weeks.
