America Could Wipe Out Serbia; Defense From Indonesia Too Late

The United States launched an attack on Serbia’s final hold in Asia, in Sabah. If Serbia loses, it would only have its original regions in central Europe; it would take weeks of carefully-planned attacks to get back to Asia – in other words, a major defeat for Phoenix and one of its major players. A win for America would end a nearly year-long journey by the Serbians into Asia.

The historic Serbian sojourn to the Far East began with the famous Serbian land bridge in the mid-Day 700s with Turkey and other allies that allowed them to reach Asia. After a lull period with no movement, the Serbs continued to make progress. The goal at the time was to take control of the Chinese region Liaoning, a high iron region – part of a larger plan by Phoenix to capture all of the high iron regions in Asia. Serbia was successful in its endeavor, as was the rest of Phoenix in pilfering Heilongjiang, originally Chinese, and Karnataka, of Indian descent. A couple of EDEN attempts to reclaim Liaoning (commonly known by the meme “Lion King”), one in March and another in May, failed. The Lion King battles have been projected as some of the most expensive in eRepublik history. Under American President Chocolate McSkittles, Lion King finally fell back into EDEN hands. Around the same time, Heilongjiang (aka “Hello Kitty”) was returned to the Chinese; Karnataka had been safe between India and the United States for a half-year.

In recent weeks, EDEN offensives have pushed Serbia, and Phoenix as a whole, to the brink of losing a massive unnamed war between innumerable nations. Since the beginning of the calendar year, Asia has been the world’s central battleground, with several noteworthy wars in Europe and Oceania. At this point, however, mainland Asia is almost fully in the hands of EDEN, minus the area around Siberia and southern India.

The battle for Sabah, at this time, is firmly in American hands, with the U.S. halfway to victory.

At the same time, Indonesia is invading the American outpost in Sarawak, from which the Americans are attacking Sabah. Indonesia is currently one-quarter of the way to victory; however, it is unlikely at this point that they will be able to conquer the region before the U.S. can claim Sabah. This battle is a last-ditch attempt by Phoenix to keep Serbia hanging around in Asia.

Portugal Continues Counterattack on Spain

Portugal made another move to reclaiming all of its original regions back from Spain. It claimed Azores, Norte, and Centro during France’s resistance war attack against Spain, which served as an effective distraction for Portugal’s return. Now Portugal wants its original capital, Lisboa, back from the Spanish. However, it doesn’t look like this is Portugal’s day: at this time, Spain has won two mini-battles to Portugal’s zero, and is on pace to win a third.
