Dade's CP Platform: Leadership

End the eFrance War: If there's one thing that the French Toast invasion taught us, it's that having open MPP's against us can mean our doom. I refuse to allow the French to keep a knife to our throats with all their activated alliances. I know for a fact that we are close to a diplomatic peace with eFrance. My Minister of Foreign Affairs, SaraD (my full cabinet will be released on the 3rd) is the perfect person for the job. She will be my go-to-girl to get this thing finished with so we don't have to have France breathing down our necks.
The People's Prime Minister: Too often in eCanada's past I've seen our leaders go against the will of the people. If elected I will provide you with a strong leader with an established vision, but I will never lose sight of the people who put me in the position to act on those visions. The Prime Minister is a conduit for the kind of action the people want to see. If elected you can be assured that I will know my place: 6500 citizens are the boss of me, I am not the boss of 6500 citizens.
Many Heads are Better Than One: Part of being the leader eCanada needs is assembling a proper team and valuing their input. In many cases there will be positions under my Ministers which will need to be filled. I will not reach over the backs of my Ministers and micro-manage their affairs: they will be the best of the best and for me to undermine their work by administering every single detail will only discourage progerss. I will not be a dictatorial Prime Minister: I insist that myself, cabinet, and congress all work together and lead as a team.
Better Consultation with the Army: I'm not here to dwell on what's already happened or to point fingers, but it should be known that more than once eCanada has found itself in a bad situation because the Prime Minister didn't properly consult with the Army before making a decision which hinged on the CAF. As President I will always be in close touch with Coda, Ramizeth and other top CAF officials - I vow to never make an ill-informed decision when it comes to my country's military.
A Stronger Voice in EDEN: Recently there has been grumbling that we are disrespected by EDEN and that we are nothing more than their puppet. This is nothing but garbage spread by Phoenix blowhards who are trying to drive a wedge in between eCanada and EDEN and to weaken that relationship. In fact, I recently wrote an article in the Voice of EDEN showing our dedication to EDEN. As the owners of two future titanium regions, eCanada is a major player in the world and we will be for the forseeable future. EDEN knows this, and as Prime Minister I will ensure that they always know this. I want eCanada to have a stronger role in EDEN: not because they don't respect us, but because we will never get something unless we ask for it. The members of EDEN are our friends and allies, and we have everything to gain by improving our relationships with them.
Continuation of our Brolliance Influence: Currently we are one of two major players in the Brolliance, while we at the same time maintain cordial relationships with EDEN. This position is of increasingly greater importance, as we serve as the common country between the two largest non-Phoenix alliances. eCanada's fate is inextricably intertwined with that of the eUSA's, so I will take great lengths to make sure we remain on extremely positive terms with them, as well as all our fellow Bros.

Fermer la guerre avec l’eFrance: S’il y a une chose que l’invasion « French Toast » nous a appris, c’est que des MPP ouverts contre nous représentent assurément notre fin. Je refuse de laisser les français garder un couteau à notre gorge avec leurs alliances présentement actives. Je sais que nous sommes près d’une paix diplomatique avec l’eFrance. Ma Ministre des Affaires Étrangères, SaraD (l’entièreté de mon cabinet sera publiée le 3 juin) est la parfaite personne pour le travail. Elle sera fer-de-lance pour finir cette situation, nous enlevant ainsi la nuisance de sentir les eFrançais souffler sur nos nuques.
Le Premier Ministre Du Peuple: Trop souvent dans le passé du eCanada j’ai vu nos chefs allez contre la volonté du peuple. Si je suis élu je vous donnerai un chef for avec une vision établi, mais je ne perdrais jamais de vue le peuple qui ma placé dans la position qui me permet d’agir sur ses visions. Le Premier Ministre est un conduit pour le genre d’action que le peuple veut voir. Si je suis élu, je vous assure que je connaitrai ma place : 6500 citoyens sont mes patrons, je ne suis pas le patron de 6500 citoyens.
Plusieurs têtes valent mieux qu’une: Une partie d’être le leader qu’a besoin l’eCanada, c’est d’assemblé une bonne équipe and de faire valoir leurs contributions. Dans plusieurs cas il y aura des positions sous mes Ministres qui auront besoin d’être remplies. Je n’irai pas me mêler de leurs affaires pour tout contrôlé : ils seront les meilleurs des meilleurs et pour moi de dévaloir leur travail et de m’occuper de chaque détail ne fera que découragé le progrès. Je ne serais pas un dictateur, j’insiste que moi-même, mon cabinet et le Congrès travaillerons tous ensemble et que nous guideront le Canada ensemble.
Une voix plus forte dans EDEN: Récemment il y a eu des plaintes que nous n’étions pas respectés par EDEN et que nous étions que leur marionnette. Ceci n’est que de la propagande ordurière de Phoenix qui essai de creuser un fossé entre l’eCanada et EDEN pour affaiblir notre relation. En fait j’ai récemment écrit un article dans Voice of EDEN démontrant notre dévouement envers EDEN. En tant que propriétaire de deux futures régions de titane, l’eCanada est un joueur majeur dans le monde et nous le serons encore plus dans le futur. EDEN sait cela, et en tant que Premier Ministre je vais m’assurer qu’ils s’en rappellent toujours. Je veux que l’eCanada ait un rôle plus fort dans EDEN: pas parce qu’il ne nous respecte pas, mais pas parce que nous aurons rien si nous ne demandons rien. Les membres d’EDEN sont nos amis et nos alliés, et nous avons tout a gagné en améliorent nos relations avec eux.
Continuation de notre implication dans la Brolliance: En ce moment, nous sommes un des deux membres majeurs dans la Brolliance, en même temps de garder des bonnes relations avec EDEN. Cette position est d’importance de plus en plus grandissante, puisque nous servons de milieu entre les deux plus grandes alliances Non-Phoenix. Le destin de l’eCanada est entrelacé avec celui des États-Unis d’Amérique alors j’irais à de grandes distances pour être sur qu’on garde d’excellente relations avec eux et nos autres Bros.

Hey Dade. If we were to have a referendum asking which of the two major alliance are more important, who do you think would win?
Eden or the Brolliance?
Wow...that's quite possibly the hardest question I've come across on my campaign thus far.
As far as what eCanadian citizens think is more important...it's tough to say. Almost certainly our relationship is stronger with the bros (not to say that our relationship with EDEN is weak). This is because of proximity and the unique nature of our alliance. However, EDEN is certainly the more powerful alliance, and many eCanadians might feel they are the more important ones to have on our side.
Honestly, I'm not sure I can say who eCanadians (or myself) would pick.
I realize that was a bit of a cop-out answer. But I'm a tad stuck on that one 😛

Where do you stand on Private Militias?

Maybe George Kirk could post an article outlining the debate and invite presidential candidates to respond. Seems like a better way to keeps things unified.
Thought about doing that Plugson but I'm really only focusing on one small part of both candidates platforms and I wouldn't want to take away from the larger debate. I like both candidates for the position and I can't decide between them. I'm fairly sure these answers will only serve to sway one vote and I don't want to take up to much of both the candidates time.

Cypher: My stance on militias is that they're a vital component of eCanada. They're unique communities which have a special gift for integrating new players into our society. Militias increase eCanada's military potency while at the same time harbouring friendship (and occasionally foe...ship 😛) among eCanadians. I support militias.
Mr. Kirk: Actually a couple differences between my exporting plan and Addy's is that only Q4 and Q5 companies would be first eligible, and companies with no licences would be considered first. According to the eRep API, there are currently 4 Q4 diamond companies and 1 Q5 company without licences, meaning the cost to give exporting capabilities to these companies would be 50g. I would never spend 610 gold on this initiative. My MoF and I would set a budget (perhaps somewhere around 100g max) and only grant licences up until that budget is used up. I understand your concern with taxpayer dollars funding these licences. On the whole eCanadian commodities being exported does positively impact our citizens as well as our GM's. However, if much of my cabinet feels the same way as you do, I wouldn't be opposed to going to a system where the destination country pays half and the company pays the other half.
