Dateline: Thursday August 12 (Day 996)
Location: Fort Sill, Oklahoma

Members of the American Military Party, all Soldiers and concerned Citizens:

I have declared my candidacy for re-election as American Military Party President.
I refer you to our Party President candidate page at
http://www.erepublik.com/en/party-candidates/american-military-party-3003/1

tl;dr version at the end, just before my sig lines

I've exchanged a few letters with alec haley.
He claims to have big plans for the Party; I question both his ability and his motives.
He claims to have a lot of friends who will join the Party on Election Day to put him on top.

Matthew Smith the Awesomeness is a Congressman, a member of the S.E.E.S. Party, with whom I have had an ongoing problem both in Congress and in game. His intentions are obvious-- to unseat me as President of my own Party in his quest to undermine everything I try to accomplish; it's a blatant hostile takeover action, a personal vendetta-- dirty politics at its worst.
MSTA definitely has the support of the S.E.E.S. Party to unseat me, by any means necessary.

If you elect either of these players as American Military Party President, you can kiss this Party and it's Mission Statement goodbye.
Electing either of these two is as easy as failing to re-elect me. This is a Party President Election you must not skip. Here at the AMP, the life or death of the Party is at stake.

In the first month of focused activity we took the American Military Party into Congress with my own election as representative of Oklahoma. We supported the election of a fine soldier to the Country Presidency.
In the second month, we put two AMP members into Congress and sponsored the election of two additional soldiers, members of other Parties, to Congress.
I fully expect to redouble that in this upcoming Congressional election on August 25th.
I have not developed a large infrastructure for the AMP as it has not been necessary for a Party whose membership has fluxed from 5 to a top end of maybe 25 members at Congress Election time. Party members are welcome to approach me about developing a Forum or IRC channel if they feel it's time, I just haven't seen the need.

I'm a crabby old man who won't take crap from punks, particularly those who abuse their trusted positions of power. I've played the same game character all my eLife because I've never been banned for cheating-- because I've never cheated. My accomplishments are honest, I've always been straightforward in everything I've said and done. People may not agree with me on everything but you can be damn sure that I'm not bullshitting anyone or pulling any schemes. I'm an honest player, have been a hard driving soldier and strong leader, every step of the way.

I'm a threat to the entrenched elite, both in Congress and in appointed positions. This is clearly evidenced in the consistent trolling I receive in every article I publish-- and mark my words, this one will be no different. For those with eUSForum access to the Congress pages, you'll see the same there. Whether my contribution is in dissent or even in support, I am shouted down and discredited, a tactic long utilized by these players and RL tyrants throughout history.
I will not shut up. I will not back down. I will not have the American Military Party headed up by either a loyal S.E.E.S. leader and or an inexperienced young buck with big ideas he can't back up.

I stand by our Mission Statement:
Dedicated to supporting our US Soldiers' interests in Government
by supporting US Soldiers' campaigns to Congress and the Presidency.

My every word and every action thus far proves that.
I have been in regular communication with Military and political leadership to promote this, with as much success as anyone can expect in the historically adversarial condition of Congress-Military relations, and I'm not done yet. As we prove to the Military our value in Congress, and prove to Congress that "milfags" as they're called are, indeed, smart enough to do something other than just follow orders to click on the battlefield (so I've heard), I expect each election to yield more Soldier Congressmen and better representation of all America's interests in government.

The American Military Party is not so much a Political Party as it is a statement.
Our cause is non-partisan-- Americans and American Soldiers subscribe to all manner of political views.
Membership ebbs and flows with each election as citizens and soldiers join at election times in support of our candidates and our cause, then return to their own Party afterward.
It's up to you-- not only current American Military Party members, but all members of every branch of the US Military, and every player of every Party affiliation-- to preserve the AMP's leadership and to continue striving to be properly represented in Congress.
Join the American Military Party on or before election day to show your support for military representation in government by re-electing me as AMP Party President. Then go on back to your regular Party.. or stay on and help build the AMP. America will appreciate your efforts either way.

tl;dr version:
The AMP faces a hostile takeover by candidates who do not have your best interests at heart.
Re-elect George Armstrong "F-Bomb" Custer as AMP Party President, or throw all our work thus far right in the toilet.
It's your Party. It's your US Congress, your US Government. It's your America, it's your vote.
