Concluding Statements

Day 2,053, 03:46 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mr Woldy

Hello all!

I am writing today my final dispatch, to offer a few brief updates on what has gone on over the past few days and over a few parting words.

Firstly, after concluding various campaigns across the globe you may have noticed fewer battles going on these days, with the enemy focussing on RWs. The eUK hasn't been adversely affected by this, having battles in Columbia and Ukraine which our population has been able to fight through via MPP. Our national military however, is being tested and encouraged to promote activity and effort through its deployment in said resistance wars.

However, what you may call a complacent attitude towards fighting is something that the government alone cannot tackle without participation from the public, and so over the coming months we must all do our part and realise that waiting, moving, being supplied on IRC by our allies or MU's and generally taking a more pro active approach to TWOs war effort is essential not only for us, but for our global military and diplomatic impact. If I have failed to persuade you simply ask yourself if what you would expect from TWO whilst under occupation, is what you offer TWO today. Mobility and fast response are the buzzwords of the day, the government and various commanders have been tackling this head one, but we must all play our part. 🙂

Next on the agenda are some briefer issues; the MoHA and MoFA have over the past few days returned from illness and poor connection and have some updates to offer, and shall be having a final meeting with myself before the 6th to review performance and provide the next CP with some notes and pointers as to which areas need work. Apart from that, I have been quite contented with my cabinet this month, bar some minor activity hiccups they have all done a cracking job. Two of them have even been so overwhelmingly inspired by my leadership that they themselves are now running for CP. at least, that's what I keep telling myself. I would recommend them all for government roles, and would like to expand my thanks not only to them, but to everyone who has worked in ministries this month. Cheers o7

One recent event you may have noticed is the signing of an MPP with Argentina, which passed over the past few days. This is something which had been discussed in Congress for a substantial time, and it was eventually decided that the pros outweighed the cons. This was a stance I myself had adopted a while ago, and if you have seen the parliamentary speakers recent article, you will note his summary of the key points; notably the huge boost in low division damage (something many countries lack) and the fact that we share many mutual enemies. Congress overcame the initial issue of the Argentine invasion, a complicated issue, but ultimately we must remember that Argentina launched an AS for a baby boom, they got one, and left. eRepublik is often about building bridges, and now we have the opportunity to allow them to help us, and right that perceived wrong.

That leaves me which just my farewells to offer. I have really enjoyed this month, and I can only hope that you, the public, have had as much fun as I have. We have been through four successful military campaigns, spanning the entire month, we have signed many reduced rate and free MPPs thanks to our diplomatic team, and with Argentina thanks to congress donations, and have gone through great efforts to reach out to the public. Political bickering has seemed low, and oddly, there hasn't been a single impeachment proposal. Though Congress still has time to pull that prank.

But I digress. I hope you have enjoyed me rocking the boat.

Ciao for now!
