Lots to say, not much time to say it, so I'll keep it brief.
I am glad we are finally getting names as I helped with the investigation. My assistance was due to my country. But as for Gofarman being "hacked"...this has GOT to be the biggest pile of B/S, shame on him along with people who actually SUPPORT this claim.
Holes I see in this story:
1. Where did this keylogger come from? Why did Gofarman accept a file from a "Hun"?
2. If it was a "Hun" who robbed these funds, I think they would take a little time out of their way to create the organization in SOME OTHER country, other than Hungary. It seems like the org was put into Hungary to mislead us; the culprit lives in Canada, 99% sure.
3. If there really was a keylogger on Gofarman's computer, I would be surprised to find him on Canada's IRC. If it were me, I'd be worried shitless about my passwords to emails, credit card numbers, bank accounts. But it seemed he dedicated most of his time to finding where the CND funds went instead of RL issues....weird?
4. WHY DID YOU GUYS TRY AND COVER IT UP LAST NIGHT? I WAS ON THE VERGE OF EXPOSING THIS "CLAIM" AND I GOT A PM TELLING ME NOT TO SAY ANYTHING. BEYOND RIDICULOUS.
My Conclusion:
The keylogger story is a cover up.
What I call for:
1. Gofarman to step down from all positions of power...not too bad eh? He walks out with a golden parachute of over 30k CAD (1000 gold)
2. I won't mention any other names (as of yet), but heads need to start rolling here; its unfortunate, but here in Canada, thats how its done. A government by the people, for the people, needs to be accountable TO THE PEOPLE.

Why can't the administrators simply go to the Org that stole the money, take it from them and return it to the CDN?
Then permanently ban the Org and it's port# along with any other accounts related to the Org or the person behind the Org?
Wouldn't that be the easiest way of solving this issue?
And even though I respect and appreciate what Gofarman has done for the CAF...to avoid further infections..should step down. I know if I was in a similar position, I would make a public apology and then resign. Better to lose face than the trust of the nation.
The door wouldn't be closed for a re-election, but if the position is held...

David...you and the other people who were involved didn't even let congressman into the discussion; not the smartest move dude as there are quiet a few people pissed now. Please do not stand up for these people.

This is the best news I've heard all month! I'm going to keep following this issue. I almost believed Gofar's key logger story, but you are right about how many holes there are in it. I just can't wait to see what Bruck has to say next about this scandal.
I'm appalled. It is a shame there isn't a media outlet that Canada can trust 99%, as well as the investigative resources on eRepublik for such a media outlet to exist. I think the admins need to do a little investigating, and if this theft was a valid game move, tell us what exactly happened to reassure us of this as fact.

Ministers (or deputies at the very least) should be granted "Top Secret Access" by CSIS. If a breach of security occurs, their access should be revoked immediately.
The people of Canada demand responsible governance, not lies to placate the masses.
The "official" explanation never made sense to me. Unless Gofaman had direct contact with the "Hun," the odds that a Hun could find Gofaman's real email address are off the chart. In real life I work in IT, the "Hun" would need to know Gofaman to pull something like that off. This was coordinated. No doubt about. I can even buy into the idea that Gofaman is the Hun. Bruck needs to clean house.
We need to establish a state finance protocol.
This 'loosey goosey' approach just doesn't do it for me.
Whats the point to investing my time into this game, and my ecountry if my prospects are so vulnerable?

Perhaps Hungary is being framed?
Lure eCanadian troops into Hungary, leaving the homefront weak.
All resources would have to be fed into that "overseas contingency operation", and we'd have nothin' in the bank. Not a good position to be in.
I smell a lure.
Or maybe that method of intrigue is not neccessary in this game.
There is always a war.
eCanada is at war with France. This is strange to me, being an '8'.
This happened before I was eborn. Our approach may be better served being not engaging in wars first-hand. We must master the art of proxy state control.
Take overs are easy. They should be, really. Identify the single most factor which binds the destinies of your adversary's ability to produce any significant resistance. Monopolize it. Squeeze when neccessary.
You must not break the nipple in order to drink milk, just squeeze when thirtsy.
THAT is the mark of true cunning and skill. To maintain a firm grip around the throat of your adversary. Have more than one. Throw them at eachother occasionally, or use them together to suppress another who may come to rise against you.
The citizens of your adversary must agree to submit to your 'direct when neccessary' control policy. After all, you want your new 'vassal' to be productive. Whether it serves to provide soldiers for agitating cold-adversaries or as a front line of military focus upon your enemy, while you - or better yet - another one of your proxies deploys on a second front.
Time will tell. What do I know? I'm a buck private.
