Circle of Trust: Yes or No?

Hello citizens of eIreland and abroad.
As some, if not all of you know, eIreland will be voting whether or not to leave EDEN and join Circle of Trust . Personally I feel we should join CoT.
• CoT respects each and every member.
• They are all equal and no country is above another.
• They help all of our allies.
• They have regular meetings (2-3 or more a month).
• They choose a new HQ every month. They change alphabetically
• They all vote and if there is one country against- then it is a No! They have a discussion, try to solve the problem, but if it is a definite no, then that shall be the answer.
• Absolutely every country can ask for help from CoT
• There are no 'founder' countries, which means no vote is more important than the other
• The articles are on time and no spoofs.
• They offer a 1 month trial period for all to see how things tick, how they gather and talk, and how every one gets a turn to say what is happening in their country.
They are pretty much the main points of the CoT.
I have been in contact with some member states and they say it is a great experience.
DarkMistressTheExecutrix MoD in Bulgaria described it as a
‘fresh start that is beneficial to all its members both economically and in military terms’
I think it will be a new and interesting experience for eIreland and I urge for a YES vote.

Ah here this is hilarious, first I find it hilarious when noobs say we should leave our alliance. Second why should we join an alliance that we have no way to be certain it will be stable and survive, BG have shown they are happy to leave an alliance they have been members of for a very long time so how do we know they will stay in CoT?
What if say we do join, our EDEN mates would hate us. Then 3-5 months down the line CoT collapses and what do we do then? bar get invaded.
Nothing is black or white.
Leaving EDEN brings us some good and some bad news.

This will be a difficult decision as there is no clearly right answer.
We will get an official vote here soon, but as far as choosing CoT as our road out of EDEN, I'd pass. I'd much rather look to establishing a new alliance with Canada, Australia and other independent countries but of course we can't just make that happen without their consent. lol

I'm with Raven that creating our own alliance would be ideal, but at the same time I know that wouldn't be a very likely/practical solution.
I'm dissatisfied with EDEN, and if we're going to make a move, we might as well do it sooner rather than later. I think our true allies will understand and maybe even join us in the future.

Creating our own alliance would be a solution but there are no strong countries left. Moving into an alliance that isn't European is foolish.
I'm pro-EDEN for now.
Many countries are reconsidering EDEN. I hope the Netherlands leaves as well, perhaps not in favour of CoT but EDEN has abandoned its small brothers. Its time to go..
As a noob who has participated in a few battles i have to say eden has not shown up once to help fight due to different priorities,... even for allied nations within eden...
Yeah Joshua they abandoned the smaller countries that's why EDEN EMC prio was to help you against Poland, yeah sounds like abandoning to me.
There is a difference between prio and actual helping.
When prio is on bigger country EMC makes milions, when prio is on small country EMC makes food fight damage.
I was there when they were fighting man, ive seen them all doing tonnes of damage, smee I think did over 8 million for them.
I've done 10M for Portugal yday without even making effort ;😉)

You forgot to mention we were priority #3 for a huge part of the fight Marcus.I won a BH achievement for just doing 5million damage, sad if you ask me. If we had allies that wouldn't have been a BH medal for me.
And Marcus if EDEN really has us as a priority than lets look at the results should we. Netherlands Regions-0...the math speaks for itself. The EDEN alliance is obviously to weak to help its members or it doesn't care about us, or else we would have at least 1 region for Congress.
And all the small countries are asking for EDEN to step up, so we can't all be wrong about EDEN.

Marcus if you looked at his profile, his max damage in a campaign is 10m, for Portugal yesterday.
Egov updates stats once a day at 22:00 server time. It is perfectly safe to assume that MUFC did his damage after 22:00 server time, but before day change. That damage will show up tomorrow on egov. Presumably you went to bed earlier than him so your damage was all done before 22:00.

@Joshua - There are always times you will be wiped, Ireland has been wiped at times but we don't bitch and blame our alliance. Shit happens, there are bigger shit to worry about at times you can't go crying like a baby over it. You will have your regions back again, not like its perma wipe.
Im bitching because I think our alliance has flaws? There's issues with the alliance and its obviously evident if there has been this much ''bitching'' towards EDEN. And just because someone has a different opinion than you don't go crying like a baby over it Marcus. After all its just opinions from a the little guys, why would anyone listen right?
Any when we are back on the map it will be because we have had to make another deal with Poland, it wont be from the help of our brothers.

No you are bitching because you are saying Netherlands should leave because EDEN "abandoned" its smaller nations which is bullshit. Its normal for small nations to be wiped, thats sadly the way the game is and being someone as eOld as you..you should know this.
