Cartography 101 or the first penstroke

Hello and welcome,

It's George here with another edition of Cartography 101. I will give a summary of all the recent changes in the world since yesterday. Sadly, I unlocked the horrid Junior Journalist Mission! I know "BOOO!" So if you guys would comment this up, I'd really appreciate it! I'll try to still have meaningful articles, not just blatant comment baiting! Thanks a bunch! Also, I didn't quite get enough the last few days, so your comments are appreciated on those articles as well!

Before we get into your regularly scheduled program, I'd like to make a (shameless) advertisement for the new Party President of the TUP (everyone else can go brain-dead).

VoodooMike71! Vote for him!
I was running, but Mike and I have basically the same platform: LISTEN TO THE PARTY and promote the party to make us #1 again. I decided to step down in favor of him.
SOOOOO, if you were going to vote for Georgie here, vote for Mikey instead!!!!!

Here's what's happene😛

UK defeated another Canadian rebellion in Ontario and conquered Yukon. The UK moves on to attack Alberta today.

Sweden liberated Scania from Lithuania, but the Lithuanians retook Smalland.

Finland liberated Oulu from Estonia, but lost Southern Finland again.

Saudi Arabia liberated Tabuk from Turkey and attacks Ha'il. This is likely Turkey resetting determination!

Macedonia liberated Pavardarie and now attacks Eastern Macedonia.

South Korea saw some setbacks in its revolution against Taiwanese rule. They liberated Chungcheongbuk-do from Taiwan, but lost Jeju and Jeollanam-do.

USA reconquered Tohoku and attacked Hokkaido.

Nigeria liberated North Central States from Argentina, but lost South South States. Argentina is allowing this to reset determination.

New Zealand liberated Wellington from Chile and attacks Canterbury.

Portugal reconquered Guyana from Venezuela and attacks their last holding North Eastern Venezuela.

Colombia continued its invasion of Mexico with the capture of North West of Mexico.

India liberated West Bengal from Thailand.

We're back with our newest segment: Geography Trivia! Everyday I will post a picture of some geographic locale on the world map and the first person to comment the correct answer gets a Q7 Tank! (Sorry I'm poor that's all I can do 😁
We had a winner yesterday! Ruthaincorrectly guessed Socotra belonging to Yemen!

Here's today's Question:

(No Map today... You'll have to examine the WM yourself this time)
How many countries would have to be added to Erepublik so that every Country in Europe is represented? (Exclude unrecognized countries ie Kosovo and countries mostly on other continents ie Kazakhstan)

And Now the Congress update.

Despite promise of a vote for MPP with Taiwan, no proposal has been made. A MPP was proposed with Albania by mistake! The represents the first flub-up of Aleks' term. While its too early to skewer him yet (Please don't try to impeach him again!), I would suggest he tread carefully. In other news, a Minimum Wage law was proposed to raise the MW to 100 GBP! I, obviously, voted against this...

Get ready...

ECON GRAPHS (woot woot)

Notice how the quantity of labor supplied at 100 GBP is much more than the Quantity Demanded. This means that employers cannot afford to hire very many workers at that price, while tons of people want to work for that (cushy) wage.

This causes 3big problems!
1. UNEMPLOYMENT

There aren't enough jobs to go around!
2. INFLATION

Because the wages increase, the cost for producers to make goods (in our case food, weapons, houses and raw materials) will increase, because more of their proceeds are going towards paying for labor. When the cost to produce goes up, it is the consumers of those goods (EVERYBODY) who suffers, because prices of those goods go up. Now Each of our GBPs are worth less (in terms of Purchasing Power) than they were before.

AND THE WORST OF ALL OF THEM

3. STAGFLATION

When both Inflation and Unemployment are high, the economy goes bad. Our GBPs are worth less and no one can get a job!

This is how the RL economy works... lets not make the same mistakes!

That's All Folks,

George Hannover
