Awards Shortlist & Lottery Results

Day 1,370, 14:20 Published in Ireland Ireland by The Irish Community
Edit Due to a severe outbreak of incompetence on the part of James Keiller, there are two edits to this article, one in relation to the lottery result, and one in relation to a point raised by Stranger Here Myself in the comments below.

Lottery Results!

The lucky number in this week’s Community lottery was 13, the second ball drawn in Ireland’s RL National Lottery. The first number out of the drum, 43, was not picked by anybody. The prize of 1000iep will be shared between John Gormley and Patrick O’Leary. Well done lads!

Edit: castaneda was also a rightful winner this week but was overlooked at the time. He has been paid his winnings of 500iep out of James Keiller's own funds, and has donated it right back to the Community. Thanks cas!

Edit: As pointed out by Stranger Here Myself, the shortlisted article, Tell Me of a Nation... By Glove, was not published in eIreland, although the substance of the article was very much about eIreland. There is indeed a stipulation in the blasted rules that the article must be published in eIreland (see earlier article requesting nominations). Maybe this is something we should change for future Awards.
