Aum. The power to decide

Day 1,423, 18:58 Published in Belgium Belgium by Ward De Bever

Dear citizens,

I was sincere when I congratulated Jamster737 in a shout after his election, and I wished him good luck with his enlightened rule. He had asked me to become Minister of Wiki, motivating with a desire to strengthen the country's unity. After some discussion, and without knowing his government team in advance, I accepted while I fully trusted him.

But then the unthinkable happene😛 faced with the choice to either rule along laws and institutions, or nominate his MoFA against the Supreme Court recommendation, he chose the latter. I was baffled, and decided not to enter the government on these terms.

When others started asking questions about his intentions, he published an extensive article. There he announced that he would reconsider his decision (based on a Congress poll and on his gut feeling) and publish it "later today" (on October 12th Belgian time, the day before yesterday).

Now we wait and wait and wait... what are we supposed to think?

- that his Congress poll did not produce a pleasant outcome?
- that his gut feeling is defaulting?
- that he is too busy in real life to think about Belgium?
- that he doesn't appoint a VP to take over his tasks in his absence?
- that he doesn't understand how basic and important this decision is?
- that he can't make up his mind?
- that he decided but is tactically maneuvering to win some time?

Until he speaks, we can only speculate. The only thing we know for sure: the promised answer is long overdue.

As a responsible anarchist, I again appeal on him and all Belgians to respect our democratic institutions.

Aum.
