This quote is true of the situation in todays eWorld. TWO, a power-hungry group of imperialist countries, is in power. Only two other alliances exist, WOLF: a TWO puppet, and Asgard. Asgard needs to grow. The member states are constantly conquered and reconquered by TWO countries. WE ARE WEAK AS INDIVIDUALS, YET STRONG AS A GROUP!
Ireland already has an MPP with Sweden, and is in excellent relations with Norway and Finland. Joining the alliance would not require much effort of readjusting to new countries and unfamiliar people. Irish citizens have many friends from Asgard countries. WE CANNOT ALLOW OUR BROTHERS TO FALL!
We are the 2.7 billion damage needed to make Asgard a force. 2.7 billion is still a good amount of damage! Perhaps other countries will follow our lead, countries like Canada and the US. Asgard is the future of ANTI-TWO alliances.
I urge the leaders of eIreland to have serious discussion with the governments of the Asgard countries. CHANGE IS NEEDED NOW!

The sentiment is nice, but a little late. Asgard wouldn't have us when they were only 2 nations. Also, Canada already went Asgard and left.
Asgard is a nice alliance. I like it, and I wanted to join in the past. Perhaps some day we will, but I see it unlikely. We've done so well for ourselves as a neutral nation, and been of far more help to our allies than if we were in an alliance and wiped or fighting for our own land constantly. People can call on us and we can respond full force, something that can't be said for most non-TWO small nations.
Voted for the thought though.
I'd echo Raven's comments. I was strongly in favour of joining Asgard a while ago, but there was resistance to being allowed in from one party in Sweden, in particular. I'm not convinced that now is a good time to (attempt to) join, with alliances currently uncertain. We fight regularly for Asgard members, so maybe MPPs would be the answer.
Please take into consideration this:
Asgar😛 a small and weak alliance but we have our tight area, the Scandinavia
Breaking this area means a lot more than extra damage, it means more allies and more enemies, it means other possible camps, were TWO to crumble and those speculations run long and deep.

Just when I think about those fecking Argies I get pissed instantly ffs...
So we complain of boredom, yet we don't really consider joining Asgard? It should at least be a discussion. Maybe before eIreland even considers it, we should have some sort of idea of how other Asgard nations would feel about it. If Sweden or whomever still says no, then it's pointless for now. But if they're up for it, then it should be a serious discussion..
From reviewing the past literature on the topic it would seem that Sweden and Finland do not want to grow the alliance much and they have rejected nations in the past. The offer to join Asgard is made by one person and Asgard HQ will probably be hard to persuade anyways. Not to mention that there is no real plus for Eire to join an small alliance that is in constant conflict with Two, since this would put a target on us that would be hard to shake off.
Yeah, we should have a definite stance on the issue from Finland and Sweden. Until then, everything else said is pointless.
Have a bit of a chat with Don Croata about rushing into alliances, lol. I was supporter of the idea at that time, tho. I haven't seen anything recently that would make me think the alliance HQ would be interested in anything other than our damage dealing potential, and they already have that from our MPP's.

our damage would have some appeal to them, but what would we get from joining them that we don't already get from MPP's?
Other nations might join Asgard. Following our example, making Asgard stronger, thus making OUR alliance stronger.
But Asgard wants to stay exclusive, not turn into a bigger alliance.
I would imagine we get some action out of it, but frankly, Scandinavia isn't exactly the front line of the alliance war.

i have a deep respect for asgard countries, i think they know this. but joining the alliance is not a good move for ireland. asgard belongs to asgard, and irish will always help norway, sweden and finland.
Well with the sentiment expressed by some of the Irish Citizens how about maybe some sort of friendship alliance with ASGARD? Not membership but some sort of cooperation above just being friends but not an alliance member?
Perhaps something like the Caven Pact between the NL and Ireland you mean?
Well I am not familiar with the Caven Pact but probably.
I like the enations in Asgard, but I don't think, at this time, membership would be of benefit to us. I'd like MPP's with them and continuing as friends and allies, but not as members.
