eIreland ~ UPDATED 13:51 eRep time

In a statement published yesterday, the newly elected Country President, Nogin The Nog, confirmed that a handful of past government officials, apparently led by highly renowned citizen Niall H, are attempting a coup d’état, by not transferring control of a number of government orgs as well as administrative masking for their forums. Most notably the newly elected government has been barred access to the eNational Bank, which currently holds large assets for the size of the relatively small eNation.

Apparently the individuals behind the coup have begun selling off or closing down state run companies and transferring the gold out of government run orgs. In this statement from the eIrish CP : http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/presidents-report-day-1021-a-sorry-day-for-ireland--1509366/1/20#comments, Nogin the Nog says “Niall and those who helped him in this crime will be brought to justice, the loss of these assets to ireland is an almighty blow, but we shall prevail”.

Niall H claims that the allegations against him are false, citing that not only does he not have access to the orgs that he is being accused of stealing from, but that he wasn't even online at the times when the alleged transactions of theft took place. The long time player says that he was planning to walk away from eRepublik, however the slanderous actions of an "opportunist" attempting to frame him has motivated him to continue to be involved in the game. Niall H said "I'm one of eIreland most renowned citizens with lots of ministerial terms and friends abroad...i'm going to use this to my advantage by looking for clues of who [has framed me]. Until i find out i won't quit [eRepublik]".





The eBalkans

Yesterday, eCroatia and its EDEN allies were successful in re-capturing the eNations last remaining original region of Slavonia from eSerbia. The battle saw the mass mobilization of EDEN forces take the capital within the first hour of the battle and hold onto to it for the entire 24-hour period, securing a victory without the battle proceeding into overtime.

Yesterday, eBosnia and Herzegovina (eBiH) faced off against eBulgaria, as the eNation attempted to defend its last remaining region of East Srpska Republic. Unfortunately for eBiH, Bulgaria was successful, meaning that the eNation has been removed from the political map. In an attempt for eBiH to regain its eNation status, today they launched resistence wars in the regions of East Srpska Republik, Federation of BiH and Brčko District, which are controlled by Phoenix heavyweights eBulgaria and eSerbia.

Countering eBulgaria’s attack on eBiH, today eRomania attacked the eBulgarian region of Ruse. Tension between the two eNations has been off and on resulting in the odd battle (two others since June). In a statement in the eRomanian media today, the eBulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs issued the following statement regarding the attack, “you've destroyed all possibilities for our nations to have normal relations and we will consider you our sworn enemies forever. Just be careful, you may be digging your grave”. According to responses to the statement, most eRomanians are not worried about the strength of their smaller southern neighbor and call the threat from eBulgaria an idle one.





eIndia and eSerbia

Yesterday, for the second time, a resistance war was launched in the eSerbian region of Tamil Nadu. The war started by Max McFarland 2, and eSerbian citizen, is slated to end at 19:00 eRep time. Regardless of the outcome of the war, eSerbia is currently in violation of its promised exit from eIndian soil by Day 1,021. In an alleged agreement, which the former eIndian CP claims was never authorized, eSerbia was supposed to be out of all eIndian regions by the end of day yesterday. The region-swap deal was supposed to provide eSerbia a path to eIndonesia and then onward to the high-titanium region of Northern Territory, Australia.

Negotiations between the two Phoenix super-powers, eSerbia and eIndonesia for the migration of eSerbia into eAustralia seem to be back on track. In a statement from the President of eSerbia (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/a-deal-between-friends-for-mutual-benefit-1508205/1/20) yesterday, he announced that in a week or two eSerbia will move south to eAustralia.
