Quote of the Day: “We probably should stop trying to fight back and try to enjoy it.” – Rigour6 (sarcastically commenting on PTOs)

eWorld Population on the Rise

A quick look at the eWorld population today shows that we are currently sitting at just under 240,000 citizens. This is a net increase of about 40,000 citizens over the last year. But still represents a massive decline in eRep users over roughly two years ago when the game hosted about 350,000 citizens. Older players may recall the mass death day of 1,007 when nearly 140,000 citizen who had quit the game in protest to the Admin’s launching of eRep version 2.0 died off as citizens.

However, the distribution of these new citizens is nowhere close to even, in fact over the last year the majority of eNations have seen their population stagnate or in the case of many; decrease. While some of the net growth of these citizens are located in the younger eNations (ie, eRepublic of China(Taiwan) or eAlbania) the vast majority (roughly 70😵 are actually being born in the top 10 eNations. The growth seems to be pretty much evenly distributed between ONE members and T/EDEN, however T/EDEN has a slight lead (about 8,000 citizens), which is likely mostly a result of the growth of eCroatia and eChina’s reach around the eWorld.

Whether or not this growth can be sustained will likely have a lot to do with whether the Admin take steps to counter the growing global inflation (currency to gold), which severely disadvantages new players.

eCanada Continues to Embarrass Itself Politically

Yesterday, eCanadian’s awoke to find that their largest political party, the Canadian Paradox Party (CPP), had been politically taken over by Rolo Tahmasse, a citizen that enjoys role-playing the part of a “baddass”(or other outdated term for got beat up a lot in school and wants to prove something). Through a series of multi votes and bribes, Tahmasse was able to secure 149 of the 272 votes cast. Tahmasse changed the parties name to “Norsefire-Former Puppet Chptr” earlier today. While most citizens are disgusted by Tahmasse’s actions, a growing number of citizens have actually started to feel pity for Tahamasse on the grounds that he is most likely a sociopath and doesn't really fathom his own actions.

In fact Tahmasse's actions over the last two years have shown that he exhibits all of the signs of a sociopath (as defined by the World Health Organisation):
· Glibness/superficial charm
· Manipulative and conning
· Grandiose sense of self
· Pathological lying
· Lack of remorse, shame or guilt
· Shallow emotions
· Need for stimulation
· Callousness/lack of empathy
· Poor behavioral controls/impulsive nature
· Early behavior problems/juvenile delinquency
· Irresponsibility/unreliability
· Promiscuous sexual behavior/infidelity
· Lack of realistic life plan/parasitic lifestyle
· Criminal or entrepreneurial versatility
· Contemptuous of those who seek to understand them
· Does not perceive that anything is wrong with them
· Authoritarian
· Secretive
· Paranoid
· Only rarely in difficulty with the law, but seeks out situations where their tyrannical behavior will be tolerated, condoned, or admired
· Conventional appearance
· Goal of enslavement of their victim(s)
· Exercises despotic control over every aspect of the victim's life
· Has an emotional need to justify their crimes and therefore needs their victim's affirmation
· Ultimate goal is the creation of a willing victim
· Incapable of real human attachment to another
· Unable to feel remorse or guilt
· Narcissism, grandiosity (self-importance not based on achievements)
· May state readily that their goal is to rule the world

Regardless of Tahmasse’s mental state, CPP members have been asked to leave the party and join another suitable political party in the hopes that the party is not able to field congress candidates.

Update on the Balkans

With the full force of EDEN pounding down on eSerbia yesterday (who found itself with reduced military support form other ONE nations), the eWorld’s largest military lost several battles it was involved in.

Today, eCroatia will move into the eSerbian heartland as it attacks Southern Serbia after capturing Eastern Serbia yesterday. Meanwhile having successfully stopped the eSerbian advancement into eRomania, the eRomanian military will be focusing its forces in removing the occupier from all of their regions with a battle in Maramures and a resistance war in Muntenia.

Meanwhile to the northern borders of the Balkans; eHungary is desperately trying to hold onto their eSerbian occupied region of Northern Great Plain in the hopes of retaining an eSerb beachhead bordering eRomania.

In an effort to draw resources away from the battles in eSerbia, eItaly has launched a war with ONE member eRepublic of Macedonia(FYROM). The battle for occupied Albanian Coast closed today with eItaly (who was partially occupied by eRep. of Macedonia(FYROM) for most of last year) the victor. eItaly will likely hit the region of Southeastern Albania later today with a goal of moving into eRepublic of Macedonia(FYROM)’s native regions tomorrow.

Arab Confederation Member-Nations Wiped from the Map

Since their addition to eRepublik, the eNations of eEgypt, eSaudi Arabia, and eUnited Arab Emirates(eUAE), have faced endless occupation at the hands of eRepubliks dominant southern Balkan eNations. Unfortunately for the Arab states, eMacedonia, eTurkey and eGreece (the strongest eNations in the eastern Mediterranean) have few native resources and face little opposition in claiming the Arab resource rich regions. In fact, the most intense battles in the Middle East have been those fought between the occupying eNations.

Yesterday, eTurkey successfully captured the last remaining eUAE region and as such wiped the last “free” region of the Arab eNations. While the past the tug of war between occupiers allowed some regions of the Arab eNations to remain in-tact and on the map. the three eNations who now occupy the region (eTurkey (11 regions), eGreece (12 regions) and eCyprus (2 regions)) all being allies, the chances of the Arab states gaining a region back without reaching a compromise with their occupiers is unlikely.
