Hey guys, today I was lounging around when my friend who just recently joined eRepublik came to me. We talked about general eRepublik things, and I asked him how Switzerland was faring in the war. Apparently not so hot. And then he told me about a demand Poland made to Switzerland that he thought was unfair. I went ahead and investigated what was going on.
Anyone who knows me knows I write about a lot of stuff. Nonsensical ramblings, awesome story time things, incredibly well-written political arguments, and so on. However, even though I write mostly about Slovakia and the United States (and awesome nonsense when I feel like it) I can write pretty heated articles on general injustice I see (PTO in South Africa, war against Austria, etc.)
Today, you will feel the nuance of that kind of article. Because I'm a peeved idealist. So feel my wrath. NOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
[WRATH Start]
The essence of the key events:
1.) Swiss and Poles talk about an MPP.
2.) Around 48 hours later, it's approved by the ONE alliance. YAY BEST FRIENDS FOREVAH?!
3.) Slovenia, Poland's ally, declares Switzerland as a Natural Enemy D :
4.) Sad Switzerland turns to its other ally, Canada. Which is promptly attacked by Poland. Even though Canada and Poland had an MPP with each other.
5.) Slovenia and Poland renew their MPP. Slovenia attacks Switzerland and the MPP between Switzerland and Poland is now voided.
6.) Poland demands refund for the MPP?!
7.) ???
8.) *Tails is confused!* (NO PROFIT)
Can I just put this out there?
This is absolutely stupid. At least from what I see right now.
If any of my good Slovak and Polish eRep friends would like to refute me and scold me for being so silly, by all means, explain just what's going on. Because the series of events I've seen seems, at least to me, ridiculous. And stupid. And not filled with cookies and milk. And ridiculous. Did I mention stupid?
Now right now, I'm a bit angrier than I'm letting on right now. To be honest, I think Poland needs to take a chill pill and stop arranging for things to die. When we attacked Austria, I was disappointed in the turn of events involving that and how we took advantage of that. And of course, we Slovaks are just a Polish puppet now aren't we? So it's all Poland's fault. Hehe
And I'm mad in the same way with this Swiss war. I feel that Poland is being unfair. What do you think Poland? Is there enough logic in this? Are my claims based on my reasoning valid? Because I think they are.
I won't bore you guys with my ranting much more. I'll just end on this.

I'd say that this article is so funny because it's true, but I could be wrong. Or have I already said it implicitly with my sarcasm?! I'm so silly you can't tell! (Though I am a bit angry, so keep that in mind)

Aww gabber, you know I'm not trying to hate on Czechoslovakia here! My wrath is mainly directed towards Poland demanding money from Switzerland (and against Slovenia for attacking D 🙂. That's my biggest concern and what I was trying to get across. The whole Austrian thing was just supposed to be a brief analogy to kinda how I felt, but I guess given my past statements, that 2 sentences of the article could be given more weight than I wanted it to.
With that said, as to your points...
1.) Well then pfft to Slovenia for being hypocrites! I dislike them too!
2.) So the MPP between Switzerland and Poland was voided at random perhaps? I guess I wouldn't be surprised at eReBUGlik for doing that, but then that doesn't give Poland a reason to demand money from Switzerland. They both lost out : / Plus, if Poland were allies with Slovenia and Switzerland at the same time, who do you think people would help?
3 & 5.) Humanitarian bombing? Slovenia + Austria conspiracy? I completely agree that's pretty hypocritical... O.o
Referring to the somewhat distant past as I have in my article, I will stand foolishly on principle here and say we shouldn't have attacked them. Even if it's a forsaken land. And even if my stand is foolish. Also, real life tension, while I understand how that can really mess things up in a game like this...well...it's still a game. But I see what's going on there.
4.) Ok, I'll admit that was an impulsive joke because I was thinking of Falkuli and his joke : P. Of course I don't think Czechoslovakia is a puppet.

While the current president of eAustria is not a RL Austrian, this does not mean he is a PTO (any more than it would if someone from Poland became president of Czechoslovakia). He was elected legitimately, so I just do not see the basis for this claim.

I don't know where this is coming from, but eAustria is perfectly willing to forgive and move on. We do not view Czechoslovakia as an enemy - we are both friends of Hungary and have no interests in fighting a fellow friend. Any events from the past must be viewed in this light, and moved on from.

We are close to both Switzerland, and Slovenia - this development was very disappointing to us. And, for that matter, to the Slovene cabinet as well, because their congress acted alone and put them into damage control mode. The only area in which we are actively involved is diplomatically - making sure that Switzerland would not stay wiped after the war closed, which they will not. We are not involved militarily.

Im RL Austrian, was eAustrian president last month, and I dont have any problems with Czechoslovakia, neither RL nor ingame. I just dont understand this antipathy towards us.
And Gabberattack, what RL problems are you referring to? I dont know anything about this problems and please, dont drag RL problems into this game.
With the almost closed agreement concerning the rent of two Austrian regions to give you Alu bonus, I was hoping that we are finally forgetting the past and looking forward to work together, it mustnt be real friendship or love, but respect and working for a good future for both of our countries. Let us continue this...

"With the almost closed agreement" ... exactly almost, why slovenia and austria do not want to fulfill that agreement? it shows their respect to agreements.
That's what happens to countries that side with ONE.
It's not EDEN or TERRA that will erase those countries; it will be their own ONE "allies."

What agreement is Austria not following?
Rangeley, our 4 countries have made an agreement and since then nothing happened, there was no activity to sign it and introduce it into the practice. I see only extending the silence with speculation to screw us up. Slovenia already broke the negotiated part regarding the Southern Bohemia so I consider all those meetings as a worthless time waste.
The draft treaty was presented to all four governments, and we were waiting for confirmation that Czechoslovakia and Slovenia had signed it. After Slovenia announced they were no longer interested and would not sign, I spoke to both representatives of Hungary and Czechoslovakia who attended the meeting to see if they were still interested in an agreement between the three of us. Hungary is interested, and Austria is interested. Depending on the answer from Czechoslovakia, we can proceed - but we did not feel it would be proper to proceed before the answer was given.
Rangeley Slovenia is holding three our regions which means that Slovenia must be part of agreement. From my point of view Austria and Slovenia wanted (and still want) to steal us those regions by postponing all negotiations and agreements. Slovenia and Austria did not (and still do not) behave honestly to us.
