Dear Swiss,
After the cancellation of our MPP between our two countries, Poland now asking for a refund.
I decide to give voting rights to all Swiss citizens.
Although Poland is solely responsible for this loss of money, as it undertook a NE with Canada after the signature of the MPP with Canada, she wants us to refund. I am outraged by this request because our country is not rich! If we respond to their request, it is 50% of the public official who will leave in the hands of Poland ... It is unacceptable to want to ruin a country.
If we do not accept the refund, there will be a rupture of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Poland. I think that since the beginning of the month, we can not say that Poland has really helped. Poland has always met the expectations of Switzerland in the past, but now it is gone, unfortunately. But if we pay the money, I hope that Poland will be more respectful of our country.

I don't think we should pay them.
We entered the MPP with honest intentions.
They will screw you anyway if they think they can profit. Look at Germany's fate - they signed a NAP with Poland 2 days before getting invaded again.

Die Antwort ist klar und deutlich: nein. Die polnische Volkswirtschaft wird das schon verkraften können.
Bedauerlicherweise ist es der Schweiz nicht möglich die polnische Misswirtschaft auszugleichen. Aber da wir auch ein Herz für Polen haben und dort keine Kinder hungern sehen wollen werde ich sobald es wieder möglich ist dem Nationalrat vorschlagen eine Soforthilfe von 7 PLN aus unserer Staatskasse zur polnischen Staatsbank zu überwiesen. Das sollte die größte Not lindern.
Dieser humanitäre Akt mein lieber Hectec wird die polnisch-schweizerische Freundschaft weiter stärken und hat daher meine vollste Zustimmung!

Never pay a refund, whatever it may cost you! Don`t ever hope Poland will be more respectful because you pay them. They are currently more powerful and these gangsters only intend to press money from you. If you pay them once, they only will ask more and more! Don`t cry and fight for dignity! Let`s take the Turks as example: They were erased by Greece and had to endure Greek humiliations for months. Greece asked a lot of Gold from Turkey and prepared some kinky agreements like giving up Cyprus forever. In exchange Greeks would set Turkey free... Though Turks were totally desperate and had no solution for freedom, they rejected the oppressors demands. Day after day Turkey developed and got its all regions back by fighting with honour. They did not pay any single dime to the gangsters! So don`t do it either!

I don't see why we should take any shit from eGermany.
As goes for your pool, I'd vote no, as well. It was mistake to sign that MPP, hopefully this referendum will trigger adequate correction of our relations.
Could you please post who made the request and the content of it? This month's government is known for some unpopular actions, so their diplomacy doesn't surprise me.

Well, I don´t understand how that would effect a mutual contract. At least in non peasant countrys you don´t step back from a treaty everytime a bird shat in your garden.😁

In my country we don't hold one hand, while the other is slapping us, no. Mix in that delusion of eGerman reps who thought they could be turning our deal upside down, and you got a diplomatic disaster ready.
Perhaps next time you think about beating your chest in diplomacy with vastly superior nation, you will remember that *courtesy* goes only so far..

A deal is a deal. If you breake treaties, just because you do not like the other person it's simply treason. No one should make a deal with poland. You'll break it anyway, when the circumstances seem to be the right ones.

I'm neither CP nor current situation requires me to be diplomatic with you, eGermans. Though for future note, dialogue between CPs is dialogue between eNations.

A fragile deal based on even more fragile understanding where eGermany knows it's place. There was no reason for it beyond an attempt to improve our relations. You spoiled it and got set straight, stop cryin' ; ]

When you look at reality, eSwitzerland has at best couple dozen active players. ePoland has 27k+ citizens, ONE easily breaks 70k.
Do you really believe it's feasible to share a sensitive strategic move that involves whole alliance with such a minor nation (group), which proved to be quick to throw tantrums?
Seeing how you guys jump to label us all kind of evil (good to know what you people were thinking all the way along), I wouldn't be surprised if you have traded that info with eCanada/eUSA straight away.

I won’t take offense. But if there were the slightest correlation between the size of a country and the reliability of its authorities, be sure this correlation would be negative. Knowledge holders are not necessarily where you think they are.
But anyway, we do not ask Poland to share intelligence. And that’s precisely why Switzerland proved unable to anticipate Poland’s move.
Let me clear up 2 misunderstandings:
1. Switzerland has NEVER EVER been asked to refrain from signing MPPs with other countries. Therefore, there’s no breach of obligations, contrary to what your MoFA says.
2. When we submitted our MPP with Canada for the Congress’ approval, Poland also had a MPP with Canada. We did it BEFORE Poland proposed Canada as NE. That Poland had been planning to NE Canada for a week, a month or a year is totally irrelevant, since – as mentioned – your government does not share strategic information with minor nations.
The conclusions are straightforwar😛
- Poland’s unexpected offensive against Canada cancelled our MPP.
- We wasted another 10’000 local currencies in signing a useless MPP with a country that Poland keeps busy (i.e. that can’t help us).
- We got wiped out by Poland’s ally.
This refund request is simply surreal.

Oh yes, all Germany's fault. Of course the deal was not cancelled because of the new Trade route rule .. nono. Poland accidentally conquered their route to their Dutch colonies because they wanted to teach Germans a lesson.

Well these ePoles certainly seem to like to push the weak around. I personally think, people who tend to do this are scum and therefore their word is worthless, too.
