An update from the office of the Prime Minister
Aus Prime Minister Office
Hello to my fellow Australians.
Welcome to another update from the Prime Minister’s office. Today see’s the start of Australia ending its training/resources wars with South Africa and Latvia. Over the course of the next few days, I will be proposing a few bills and hoping that congress approves them, to ensure the end of hostilities with these two countries.
Also today will see us come into the final stretch for the Country President elections. So without further a due, let me speak about what has been happening in this wonderful country of ours.
CP Elections:
Our countries CP elections are only 2 days away, some people have put forward policy papers, yet some other haven’t. So I ask all who haven’t or are interested in running, please put forward your policy paper, so the public can read it and see what your plans are.
Ze Kraus supported by Australian Revolutionary Party
Callumh123 supported by National Alliance - Pro Patria
Rusty D supported by Australian Democratic Party, Australian Parliamentary Party and the KnightHawks Military Council
Links to their policy papers can be found here:
Ze Kraus: None published so far…
Callumh123: None publish so far… Unsure if this is legit bid or if NAPP have endorsed without his knowledge
Rusty D: Policy Paper
But remember there is still more time to have your name added to the list.
Resource Wars:
The resource wars are wrapping up, not only in Australia, but all around the world. Shortly we will be signing a Peace Deal with both South Africa and Latvia to end our training wars. We have managed to secure more tokens then needed, so in a sign of goodwill, I donated 1 to Norway. The rest are up for sale, but I do not believe we will have buyers. If I fail to sell them I will give them away to help build a closer friendship with other countries.
Some of you might of read the Peace Walker Review of the Resource War article. With this in mind, I would like to explain why I picked the resources that we ended up…
Western Australia: Fish – This was set early on in the game, unfortunately due to the South Africa battle, I could not change it before the resource token was used. But fish will not be as attractive for the occupiers, as everyone has fish.
Northern Territory: Fruits – This is was chosen due to an upcoming region rent deal.
South Australia: Grain – This was chosen due to a region rent deal. Unfortunately the country who was going to rent this region, has secured this resource elsewhere.
Queensland: Sand - This is was chosen due to an upcoming region rent deal.
New South Wales: Fish – Predetermined due to it being classed as the capital at one point.
Victoria: Grain – Chosen due to the fact it is a common resource and will help make us less attractive.
Tasmania: Fruits - This is was chosen due to an upcoming region rent deal.
I hope you guys understand these choices. I realised we are not powerful enough to ensure that we have all bonuses and be able to defend them. Yes we lose out on our eFarming to get some bonuses (I myself am included in this), but our countries safety is the most important thing.
Remember as always, I have an open door policy, so please feel free to message me or comment and I will answer your questions.
Rusty D,
Proudly serving Australia.

Hoping the main reason larger countries wipe smaller countries is for resources? That's quiet a gamble isn't it?
What about those countries that enjoy wiping a smaller country for the hell of it, for national pride or political bargaining, for strategic position or to escape their own wipe?
Me thinks there will always be another reason. In times like those it's friends that matter.
Yes there are plenty of other reasons, but unfortantly we cant do much about that. All I can do is solve the problems with in my power. The region rents are set up to try and help with the defence of Australia, our allies, the ones with MPP's and the ones with out are to help us out as well.
I well and truely know this is not a perfect world, we can be peaceful and accomadating but others might not see it like that. Plus any deals I do today, change in 2 days time when new leaders take power.
I can only do, what I can do...
And you're doing a great job Rusty D.
I'm only suggesting maybe focusing on building better relationships or alliances with other countries to help prevent future incursions or help rid your country of invaders.
Two of the biggest problems facing Australia are Indonesia and Chile. Indo were warming to Australia a few months ago with regards to making sure they got senate each month, but now Rusty had got an NAP with regions which is a huge step forward. Chile? Well we'll see what magic Rusty can do 🙂

Even if it is no news day, I need to let you all know. Just feel a bit guilty that I haven't updated in a while... RL getting in the way of eRepublik.
