February 2015 Policy Paper
Hello my fellow Australians. As previously mentioned, I will be re-running for Country President. I was a bit hesitant to do this for a second time in a row, but I believe I have started a new future for Australia and would like to keep on going with the ground work. While the past couple of weeks have had their ups and downs, I strongly believe that with the governments support, we will be able to improve on Australia’s standing, not only on the international front, but more importantly the domestic one.
Below I have listed some key points that I would like to push for in the upcoming term. These points are not set in stone and will be dependent on congress and government approval. After all, I am just a figurehead during my time in office, for the citizens of this great country.
Foreign Affairs
Last term I wanted to achieve a homeland for us, to be able to say we have at least one region to be able to have a congress and slowly grow as a nation. This was achieved with more, thanks to our NAP with Indonesia. However due to their war with Taiwan and USA, we managed to get all our regions back before congress voting.
This time has made me see allies and foes in a different light. Even with the recent Resource Wars, we have made new friendships and enabled old ones to grow. In light of this, I would like to continue to work with everyone in the next term. At the end of the Resource Wars we will have all 7 regions back. I am hoping/planning on renting between 4-5 regions to other nations. This will allow us to have extra income, security and our own lands for our growth. These rental agreements are in the early stages at the moment, but we are currently waiting to see which resources some nations require.
With this plan, I will also be reaching out to old enemies and building on our old friendships. I want to strive to ensure our homeland is free from war, free from occupation. However I will also never forget our current allies, those with in LETO and those who are with other alliances. So if I am elected, prepare to see friendships, NAPs and deals with everyone. Safety and security is my main priority.
Finance
For this upcoming term, I plan on bank rolling any of my agreements again. This is not because I am rich, but it is because I believe in what I am doing for Australia and I want Australia to be able to turn a profit.
If the above mentioned rental deals go ahead, it will allow for a great second source of income. I will once again be asking congress members to donate their congress gold to Australia or an Org of their choosing.
I will also be pushing again for the schemes we started this term, Cash for Articles, HECS etc. If anyone knows of a way to fine tune them, please let me know. These schemes are for you the citizens, not for me, so I need your input as well.
Education
I do feel sorry for Jacktrout and Pr3zzyy. They have done such a good job this term, releasing educational articles, running the food and weapon drops for me.. so good that I will be pushing them even harder this time
But in all honesty this area speaks for itself. The guys have done a great job, but with this game, there are so many different aspects, it will take a while to teach about them all. However, I will ensure that there is a high volume of information, educational and fun articles coming from this department.
Government Positions
Some of my original ministers have left to other countries and also some have had to take a step back due to RL. With this in mind, for the past week or so, I have been looking at congressmen/women and other citizens. I do plan a small shake up of government and also plan on promoting some people to minister if I am lucky enough to be elected. These people will not be ‘Yes’ men, but they will be people who will put Australia first and foremost.

A while ago I informed some political parties with the news that I plan on re-running for CP. But due to how early it was, I did not formally ask for their support. How ever I am doing it now and publicly (I want this to be an open election with no fears of backdoor deals). So if you are a Party President or a member of a Party. And if you want to endorse me, please let me know. I will try and make you proud. I will also update this article to show any endorsements I receive.

There is no future in eAus without new players. You can sign MPPs with the whole of eRep but all you accomolish in these 2 months will be worthless if activity is not up. Yea sure you are blasting the medi with 3 articles per day but for whole? The 10 active people who read them? I still have yet to see any real media being brought up foward.
What you are saying is true Icetek, but I consider Rusty is making a real effort.

Thank you Boud1cca, I know in the past you and I have sat on different sides of the fence, but I also know your one of the 'old' hands in this game and are active. It does mean a lot to hear what you said.

Icetek, the first step is to have land, that way we can give out CS passes. I know of two very active players fromn another country who are coming across soon. Yes we need a baby boom, but we have to offer them something. We cant hit up game forums and say 'play eRepublik, a game where we a conqoured nation and cant do squat'... it is not very inviting.
With me 'blasting the media' yep, we write articles, last few months the gov hardly had any articles. So that is at least something. I even offer cash for peoples activity (cash for articles), I offer food and weapons for citizens so they can fight, I even offer gold for upgrades. I can't force people to be active, but I can make it inviting for them.
Plus, I do enjoy your critizism as it lets me know what the general public think,. but if you know a better way to increase activity, please speak up and let me know. Your in congress, your in the comments section, but you havent put forward a solution or an article. That is not only for you, but everyone else who has ideas or thoughts. As I always say in my PM address, my door is open and I will listen to every idea.
I dint mean it directed at you, but look at the past when huge and claire where cp. They gave it all, a new irc new forum what not, active gov media etc and it got us no where. You are on the right tract dont get me wrong but your still lacking to understand the root of the problem. Land is like the number 3 issue. Lack of citizens and fighters is number 1 And 2.
I might join your cabinet next term but no promisescuz rl is hectic for me now.
From personal experience 2 terms in a row can be draining, but also very rewarding! I wish you all the best with the elections 🙂
I hopeing that I will be back from my work hitch in a couple of days will let me sleep a bit. CUrrently juggling work and eRepublik (espically with the Resource Wars), I have been getting 4 hours a night... yep it is draining, but it has to be done for the good of Australia.
You know my opinion of you and what you've achieved...Australia has a great future with you and the ADP
