It has been a while since my last report on US/Canada relations. I have been Ambassador to the USA since WW3 began last summer.

As many of us know, the role of Ambassador is no more than relating to foreign nations what the Presidential Cabinet is after elections.



There are no official dispatches.



There are no cocktail parties with scantily glad dancers.



There are however ENDLESS roll calls


The Report


Economy



Over the past few months the United States has noticed the Protectionist Trade barriers that Canada has thrown up, (they have not liked it, but fortunately have bigger fish to fry militarily). We have done this to avoid making the hard decisions to make our economy a most equitable arena of trade. While we have enacted the Iron Income Tax Bill to help make our economy the best it can be - we still are unable to effect change in the price wars that are currently ravaging our markets. As a Canadian Congressman I have proposed increasing the VAT in targeted markets to help alleviate the aggressive trade wars while adding to the Government Coffers at the same time.
There have been calls to penalize Importers, throw up more protectionist trade barriers instead.

It is the opinion that our position in the Erepublik Defense & Economic Network, not to mention our Brolliance relations will suffer as a result if we choose to penalize non Canadian businesses for our own inability to rectify our own economic problems. The Canadian Congress still wishes to adhere to the 'legendary' Dean22 tax Wall of Text vis a vis VATs.

We have tough choices to make to put our own house in order - but make no mistake - what choices we do make WILL effect our ally's position towards us. Whomever gets elected to Congress today - I IMPLORE the Canadian public to hold them accountable for the current economic situation we are faced with today.



Military



The United States is with us as part of the legendary pact signed between Jacobi and Gaius Julius.
They continue to stand by us and we have excellent coordination and understanding in this area.

I do not have any particular access to the US Military or Joint Chiefs data, however I can speak confidently that we are on the same page.



Politics



The United States has Josh Frost as their Country President, who succeeded Jewitt.
This is Josh Frost's second Presidency and his Vice President is a friend of mine - Max Mcfarland 2.

The United States is currently working hard to prevent an internal PTO Threat within their Congress elections. Foreign nationals have been flippantly granted citizenship from many Phoenix nations by inexperienced or questionable Congressmen. However, the USA is fighting their PTO attempt very efficiently from the executive level on down. The fewer traitors who get elected - the fewer citizenship application they can grant to enemies of the state to exacerbate the problem. Of course, we here in Canada have not identified any such PTO attempt officially.

The article by US Citizen Zoli, The Enemy Within is a good read and will shed light on this. Perhaps there is something to learn here...
