Airborne Contest: Round 1

It was a close, harsh fight in the first round of the AB contest as 101/1 battled 101/2, while 82/1 faced 82/2 for bragging rights as the top platoon in each division. Points were awarded for:

1. Fighting/ A point for every kill.

2. Activity/ Soldiers were awarded points for responding to the weekly roll call, responding to daily orders (JMO) on the forum, and filling out the check-in form in the Battle Channel on IRC.

Here are the numbers:

The 101st

The first platoon, under the command of Lt NecromanMMO narrowly edged out 101/2, led by the indomitable JoeyJ and his wily sidekick Silencer156. Despite the fighting prowess of Maxmillian von Willebrand, 101/2 was not able to match the heavy gunners of 101/1, foremostly Zgljim, Elena Claudia, NecromanMMO and Renzoku.

The platoons showed nearly equal, moderate levels of activity, with NecromanMMO earning perfect activity scores, with Maxmillian and EKOI963 falling just short of top marks.

The 82nd

Lt Brickwall’s men and women of 82/1 won this round fairly handily, showing up 82/2 in both fighting and activity levels. This is not a sore mark on Lt doki1919’s 82/2, which performed at levels similar to the 101st division, but rather a testament to the juggernaut star-power of 82/1. Nearly every member of this platoon gave a good show throughout the week in terms of kills, with Leroy Combs, Vineta, and Charle Howe putting up the best numbers. 82/2’s Omp21 and Ben Swisher left plenty of corpses behind them, but not enough for the win.

The second platoon’s strongest activity came from doki1919 and Ben Swisher, while 82/1 had two perfect scores, from Brickwall and Charles Howe.

The Contest Continues

The second and final round of the contest, which began on Sunday and lasts one week, sees 101/1 face the might of 82/1. The points have been reset to zero, and NecromanMMO promises us an upset.

I, for one, am rooting for the underdog.
