ADP - New to eRepublik?

Day 2,423, 03:20 Published in Australia Australia by Send love to Plato

So, you are new to eRepublik, but what do you do now??? Well here at the Australian Democratic Party we are going to try and make your eLife that little bit easier.

The first thing you need to do is put down that clicking finger and do not waste your gold on energy bars or health, that is a beginners error and we urge you not to spend any of your gold just yet. First thing you will need is an income, so you will need to visit the job market and apply for a job. Bearing in mind your employer will want you to work everyday, but this takes just one click of your mouse but his production will require you to be active once per day for at least a couple of minutes. Every 30 days you work you will earn 5 gold and a Hard Worker medal. Another supplement for new players is a controversial one but it is still a valid option - Voters club. Now some players in eRepublik prefer to pay people to vote their articles or subscribe to their newspapers...they pay the voters club who in turn pay eRepublikans to vote and subscribe these. It can earn you some good money to help you in the game but it is frowned upon by people who believe you should earn newspaper subscribers and article votes. The moral decision is yours...

Next you will need to join a Military Unit (MU), a MU is an army that posts up Daily Orders for their fighters whether that be for Australia or our allies each day. Some MU’s supply you with weapons but sadly not all of them can afford to so you will need to choose wisely. The Daily Orders are set at 25 kills and once you have done this you are rewarded with an energy bar (100 health) and a Bazooka...we strongly recommend you save your energy bars but you will not be able to access your bazookas until you reach a certain strength. Your Government runs a MU designed for young and new players called the Australian Defence Force and they supply you with top grading tanks to help you fight, along with supplies they also run lotteries and competitions funded by the Commander personally.

If you fancy taking a step into the political side then you would be more than welcome at the Australian Democratic Party but there are other fine political parties out there. There are many benefits to being in a political party including running for the eAustralian senate where laws are made and voted upon but you do need to be in the top five ranking political parties to run for senate. Also being a member of the Australian Democratic Party gives you free food each week in our Wednesday food drives and allows you to experience part of a community you wouldn’t find if you weren’t involved.

Where do you buy food and weapons? Well in the Marketplace of course. While there are many different types of food and weapons in the marketplace, the two things you really need are food and weapons if you want to work and fight. You can fight without weapons but it does little damage on the battlefield compared to using weapons (and it takes a lot more health with each kill if you use no weapons), while purchasing food will recover your health. As said previously if you are in a Military Unit that supplies then for now weapons should not be too much of an issue. Food however goes up in 2 health...so a Q1 food produces 2 health and a Q2 food produces 4 health, Q3 food obviously gives you 6 health and so forth. The only exception is Q7 food, which provides 20 health, but often isn’t the cheapest option. It is best to compare prices before you buy so you maximise costs but sadly as prices change regularly i can not advise you which is currently the most cost effective food to purchase.

Training is vital in eRepublik, the stronger you are the more damage you do on the battlefield and the quicker you earn gold. You can access your training grounds here, and you can train once per day. You can upgrade training grounds to gain more strength per day but this will involve spending gold and we recommend you wait until an offer is open to upgrade training grounds for a discount as this will save you a lot of gold. Each time you train it will cost you a stated set price of gold but it is vital you concentrate more on training each day and there is Government help out there via the Joey Development Scheme that offers you free gold and a helping hand. It is advised you upgrade the free training ground and use the 0.19 gold training ground, as long as you have enough gold to do this, and remember to only upgrade when the offers are on.

Fighting did you say? You can see what wars are going on by looking at your
The war page
but it is advised for now you follow your Military Units Daily Orders so you can best help Australia and our allies. As you grow you can then look to earn medals for fighting such as Mercenary and Freedom Fighter but you can find out more about that by reading this article - http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/adp-guide-to-freedom-fighter-medals-2414111/1/20

One final thing, remember these set dates for your calendar - each month on the 5th every country goes to the polls to vote for the man/woman they wish to run their country and Australia is no different. On the 15th of each month every Political Party holds an election to see who will become their Party President for the month, now these elections can have more of an impact on the running of Australia than most people realise...and finally on the 25th of each month if your country has a region on the map and is not fully occupied then you have a senate election. Each party in the top 5 can put forward candidates and these those elected will have the power to vote on taxes, wars, movement of Government finances and Citizenship passes for any foreign players that wants to move and join eAustralia. Senate is the life blood of any nation.

As i always say add as many Aussies as possible as friends so they can help you if you need advice and never be afraid of coming forward to ask...we were once new players ourselves and the Australian Democratic Party will always be happy to help. Also below we are building an ADP library to help you in your eLife so please feel free to click the links and we hope we have made things a little easier for you.
