A sad day for eRepublic and fair play indeed.
Boyan
So the final results of the eKosovo poll are out and the eRep Gods have made their decision: eKosovo will be region of eSerbia.
First of all I would like to congratulate Serbians for their success. In this very moment the Kosovo Force (KFOR) and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULE😵
are removing the illegal barricades in real Kosovo and are making sure that the Kosovo government has control over all its territories and borders. Yet in this virtual community Serbians have managed to secure a region that is no longer theirs. I really hope that having a few extra pixels on the map is going to make their virtual lifes happier.
I’m not going to hide my huge disappointment with the eRepublik decision on the issue. When conducting a poll there are always certain rules and requirements that need to be followed. The final results of the eRep poll show a tie. The difference between the results is 0.42% or 443 votes. I don’t want to disregard those 443 votes, but 0.42% is definitely not a winning condition to any poll I am aware of. Moreover, the voting analysis shows extreme disparity of the nations voting. The Serbian vote accounts to about 8, 000 and that is not counting the Serbian colonies of New Zealand, Thailand, UAE, and Montenegro. That means that around 1/3 of the people who voted for Serbian Kosovo are Serbian. In addition, the Serbian vote is higher than the votes casted by FYROM, Romania, Poland, and Hungary altogether. This is definitely not a decision taken by the eRepublik community. In contrary it is a decision that has been enforced by Serbia’s higher population.
I know that Serbians are extremely sensitive about this topic. Yet Kosovo is a tragedy not only for the Serbian community but for all the families that have lost their love ones there and this certainly involves the Kosovars too. Twenty years after the collapse of Yugoslavia you seem that you have not learnt your lesson. You prefer to dwell yourself in the past rather than move on and build a better future for all of us on the Balkans. At the end of the day there’s no difference between Christians, Muslims,Serbians, Kosovars, Albanians, Bosnians, French, American, Chinese etc. There’s no history, no politics, no religion and no shit. It’s about the people and their desire to be free and happy regardless of their ethnic or religious background. I hope you understand that any further European integration depends on your recognition of Kosovo. Kosovo is an independent country and the sooner you come in terms with it the better your prospect of living a better life would be.
Erepublik failed to recognize and address the issue properly and thus does not represent accurately the world anymore. Furthermore, Erepublik administration failed to provide fair and equal opportunity to all of its users as Kosovo players would lack the opportunity to play with their own country.
At this point due to its disputed status in real life and the 50%/50% tie on the erep poll I beIieve that Kosovo should keep its status quo and remain a gray area on the erepubIik map.
PS. Please spare me your history lessons.

Kosovo is Kosovo! The principle/right of self-determination!

It is stupid for the admin's to suggest adding a country which is still so controversial in real life. It hasn't been recognised by the UN as an independent nation although it has been recognised by some UN nations. There were plenty of options of deserving countries to add which were overlooked.
Even if Kosovo was added as an independent country it would just have been the scene of a major PTO battle.
I agree it should probably remain a grey area for now but out of the choices available of independence or part of Serbia I had to select Serbia personally.
OK, Boyan you have your opinion and I respect that.
But, I just don't know how someone who published article "We Macedonians want permanent unification with Bulgaria" can give lessons of this type to others.
P.S. I piss on European integration...
I'm too drunk but I voted anyway my friend o/
Best Regards from eChile
Well, your article is very one-sided, althouth you tried to make it look different.
I'll won't teach you historicall lessons, I just have to warn you about some contradictories in your text.
1. There are no "Kosovars". There are Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo. (and some other nations i minor numbers). There are members of Serbian and Albanian people. "Kosovars" simply dont exsist.
2.
"In this very moment the Kosovo Force (KFOR) and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULE😵 are removing the illegal barricades in real Kosovo and are making sure that the Kosovo government has control over all its territories and borders."
"It’s about the people and their desire to be free and happy regardless of their ethnic or religious background."
"Kosovo is Kosovo! The principle/right of self-determination! "
Then why are the baricades illegal? Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija want indipendence from Belgrade authorities. So the Serbs on the north of Kosovo and Metohija want independence from Pristina authorities too. They want to be self - determened and free too. What's the problem?
You can't make double standards, or the world will be in total chaos.
If Kosovo has a right to be independent from Serbia, then North of Kosovo has right to be independent from Kosovo.
If Catalonia can't be independent from Spain, Baskia from France, then Kosovo can't be independent from Serbia.
If Abhazia and North Ossetia are Georgia, and Republic of Srpska is Bosnia and Hercegovina, then Kosovo is Serbia.
End of story, no double standards, samo conditions for everyone on planet Earth.
Have a nice day.

1. There are no "Kosovars".
_______
No, not yet. But there will be. There weren't Macedonians either, but there are now.
This is definitely not a decision taken by the eRepublik community.
So Serbians are not part of the eRepublik community? Your argument is pointless. This poll was essentially used by EDEN, mainly Croatians and inci as a battle. The fact is, the Serbian "side" had more votes. Whether that is by 1, or 100,000 it doesn't matter.
Kosovo is Serbia!
Metohia is Montenegro!
Justice for Montenegrins!
Admin are a disgrace,
Kosovo is Kosovo! The principle/right of self-determination! x2
Wildrunner, belive it or not, it would be good for Serbia if there were Kosovars...
@Stucna Какве везе има устав из бивше југе од смрдљивог комунистичког бравара? Нисмо више у југи па да нас Србе може јебати како ко хоће, нема више оне "Слаба Србија - јака југославија" ; )
Optimus - don't compare any of these ountries with entity called Republika Srpska - you Serbs created it and it is based on genocide in BiH. Maybe you are forgeting, but I will never forget VukoWar or Srebrenica. Don't mix apples and pears
@nagy
I am not sure about Republika Srpska but I am sure about Croatia when you are talking about genocide.
