[PN] Interview with... Mr Woldy

Day 2,734, 01:55 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Pannonian Nomad

Hi everyone.

It's time for my third interview, the last one where I'll spam you to leave me a comment for the mission, after this it will be 3/3, so I would like to thank those who commented before and those who will comment this article. This doesn't mean I'll stop with these weekly interviews, this will continue.

After interviews with our CP and eUK's rank 1 player, it's time for an interview with our beloved dictator, Mr Woldy.

Here are his wise words...

1. Tell us a few words about your real life self.

- 18/f/cali hbu?
Jk. I'm a doctorate student in history, living like a pauper as per. Based in and around London and the north west!

2. About eRepublik Mr Woldy.

- Mr Woldy is the eUK's nice guy. I'm not sure what else to add apart from a list of medals etc, so I'll just point out some of the cooler stuff I've done ~ Conquered the east coat of the US (twice) and attacked pretty much every border country, got made King, and more recently dictator. Firm believer in a active and responsible Congress and it's that I've dedicated much of my post-CP years too, as well as charity, games and rewards stuff to boost the community. I'm also head of the eUK steam page and supremacy alliance, but thats not so much erep.

3. How do you see your future in eRepublik?

- Well I'll probably carry on as dictator til I'm replaced and in the meantime possibly help out the MoHA/MoEnt. I've never left the eUK and I like to try and find things to do so I could end up doing anything once the current gig is over 😛

4. eUK's future?

- Well I don't want to influence anyone's views but I am told steria is starting to show some cracks, opportunities may arise for the eUK to enter a new alliance once that happens which could see us fighting for a larger cause again. But I think we need to look inward more and develop the ties that bind and the community and I feel as though a few individuals have popped up recently that can help make that happen. A lot of it depends on activity and camaraderie so fingers crossed we can get a large active fun community in a few months time!

5. eRepublik's future?

- ERRR. As someone who has witnessed the rise and fall of erep first hand I am quite outspoken on this subject and it's not unknown to be censored if articles are overly critical. I think the issue with eRep has been that admins have focussed way to much on making money (but then, can you blame them) but this has transferred much of the power and enjoyment a player can experience to those who buy gold. The real rewards therefore come from working together to achieve what goldbuyers can theoretically do on their own. It is nonetheless frustrating that success in battles (and now politics from the dictator function) can all be bought. The strategy has been drawn out of the game to facilitate more battles - and so more need for gold etc. But a lot of us still hang on. The game won't die but hopefully the admins will stop making the game easier for the rich!

6. Who is your favourite person in eRepublik and why?

- Don't know if I can answer that! Too many people will want me to say their name. Historically I have gotten on amazingly with Karacticus and Acroc, and achieved great things with them, politically, socially and so on.

7. Any person you dislike and why?

¬____________¬

- No! I've mad a point not to dislike on this game, I think being accepting of people as much as possible has bought me great influence in erep so I kinda live by that mantra. I certainly hope no one feels like I dislike them.

8. A few words about your military unit. (Being that you are in the Dictator MU, you can tell us about your previous one.)

- My previous MU was funky, which I joined after leaving my own ill-fated MU Woldy's Warriors. Both were great but I wasn't paying that much attention to make many remarks. Funky has a great community and a good, dedicated leadership, I would recommend them to anyone.

9. A few words about your party.

- I joined WRP only a few weeks ago once PCP left the top 5. So I will say something about both. PCP is a great little community and they have some really interesting projects going on, as well as strong principles. They have a real potential to lead by example but unfortunately the core of the party is often not active enough these days to reach the ideal. WRP one the other hand is benefiting from an active membership right now, and has some great leaders and CP's under its belt. I feel as though that they are perhaps still finding themselves, and I am happy to be a part of that process on a casual basis, though I feel my role of dictator may mean stepping back from frontline politics I am still eager to help form some guiding principles for the party to engage with.

10. Do you lift?

- Yah bro.

11. Your message to the community.

- Hiiiiiiiiiiii!

Thank you Mr Woldy for your answers o7
