[PN] Interview with... Fataliix

Hi everyone.

That "Senior Journalist" mission logo is annoying and because of that I want to complete the mission, but I don't want to make those "please comment only" articles, so I decided to publish something interesting (hopefully) - interviews with some people. I have an idea for the three people I would interview, hopefully they will all accept (who knows, maybe I'll continue these kind of articles after these three I'll do for the mission).

For the first interview I chose our new president Fataliix and I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate him on his election result o7 (Results at 7:59 UK time)


Here is what he has to say...

1. Tell us a few words about your real life self.

- I'm a 23-year-old software developer from the deep north of England. I spend way too much time playing PC games and listening to slapped-together screamy bullsh*t music.

2. About eRepublik Fataliix.

- I'd like to think the way I act in-game is just a reflection of who I am. No role-playing here. I don't take anything more seriously than it needs to be and I love a good troll, this is just a game after all. I'm loyal to the UK and my party, but I'd give either hell if I thought they were doing wrong. 😛

3. How do you see your future in eRepublik?

- For now I'm totally focused on making this next month a good one. I know the role of CP tends to burn a lot of players out, and I'm determined not to have that happen.
Beyond that... Who knows? I really enjoy the way I play right now, and I'm hoping to eventually become a D2 tank. I wouldn't mind a stint as Minister of Defence. I wish I could give this a solid answer, but I'm certain I'll be a different type of player by the end of this month.

4. eUK's future?

- I'd like to see more of our population get involved for the benefit of the eUK. There's a lot more complaining than there are trying to make a difference. Thankfully this seems to be changing with players like Paul Tyndale and Mad Pauly (among others) looking to get more involved.
Realistically... We seem to have hit a point where players aren't leaving so frequently. Perhaps we can become a more tightly-knit community and convince some new guys to stick around?

5. eRepublik's future?

- The game continues to shrink and Plato continues to add more pay2win. Those of us still playing are here because of the community, or because of what this game could be.
I think there are plenty people still spending money to keep the servers online for a while yet, but unless someone buys it or Plato makes an effort to bring back the old players by reversing some of the changes of the last few years, then it will die eventually. I could see the latter happening on a new server, could be interesting.

6. Who is your favourite person in eRepublik and why?

- I could make a lot of people angry with this answer... Haha. I guess I'd have to say WookieO as he's given me a lot of advice and motivation for months now. He's also genuinely a good dude & allowed me to change the UKRP sex chat to fit my schedule.
I can't end this answer without saying how great a few others are though: Massacar, Rob the Bruce, Adastros, Kieran, Wayne. All guys I'd consider friends outside of the game. I've missed a bunch too and Sambo will have my head on a plate.

7. Any person you dislike and why?

- It goes without saying, but BigAnt. During his recent spate of scamming he nicked 45k from a friend of mine, and the guy almost quit the game over it. Thankfully we got the money back, but f*ck BigAnt.
Really, anyone that thinks trolling means spoiling the game for others.

8. A few words about your military unit.

- The Royal Navy! They're wonderful. Even though I left once before, they welcomed me back with open arms. In hindsight they were probably reaching for my tanks... But they do serve a fantastic purpose and I recommend them to every new player I chat with. I found my feet in the RN and I'm not sure where I'd be here without them.

9. A few words about your party.

- UKRP best UK_P. Since joining UKRP my enjoyment of eRep has risen tenfold. I actually don't hate being here! We've got a ridiculously good core of players and actually play the game as a game. Most of my favourite people are UKRP and more keep joining.

10. Do you lift?

- I didn't get 214 Super Soldier medals by sitting around jerking off... But I'm sure it helped.

11. Your message to the community.

- Since it seems I'll be CP, I'd just like to say thanks to everyone. You guys all might hate being here, but you rock. Come talk sh*t with us on #uk.reform and maybe we can all have a bit more fun here. \o/
