25 November 2009 Congressional Election (Vermont, USA)

Day 729, 14:12 Published in USA Germany by Herrn Sterling

My name is Herr Sterling, and I am officially announcing my first ever intent to run for congress on the 25th of November 2009 under the AAP in Vermont.

I currently hold two government jobs. The first is US Ambassador to Germany. It's not an easy job but it has let me meet a lot of friendly people and learn another nation's perspective of the US; this allows me to have a better understanding of what the US, as a nation, could do better. My second government job is an Immigration Enforcement Agent (IEA) for the Citizenship Task Force (CTF). Many congressmen and women should be familiar with this but it is my job to make sure the wrong people do not gain US citizenship.

PEACE
My position on PEACE is to communicate with those nations that aren't actively aggressive towards the US and our allies to try to improve the relations between our lands. For those countries that are aggressive towards the US and our allies, I believe that every possible action should be taken in order to ensure our safety and to liberate any and all nations suppressed under their rule and aggression.

Foreign Relations
If you're familiar with my paper, you will know that one of my main priorities is foreign relations. Foreign relations are an essential part of everyday life in the New World. Through our relations, we can make new friends and keep old ones. We can work together with other nations for the well- being of both countries while fighting nations opposed to our way of life and those nations that try to intervene in our affairs without just cause. To see some of my work, you can read an article that I pieced together by asking all 59 presidents, excluding the United State's, what their nation thought of America.

Domestic
While foreign affairs are important to me, domestic issues are just as important. Not only do we need to continue programs such as the mentoring program, Meals on Wheels, the Citizen Task Force, and the countless other programs, but we need to work on ways of improving them and ensuring that we keep them up-to-date and active. I will support domestic issues by participating wherever I can.

Military
I also believe in a strong military to defend our homeland. I will always stand beside our military and support them in every endeavor and will participate in it whenever I can. If elected, I will not be able to travel abroad which will limit my availability to actively participate in the military; however, I will support funding for the military since it is what protects our very way of life from those who wish us harm.

As a congressman, it is my duty to represent the citizens of this state, to the nation, and I will do everything in my power to ensure that the US is a leader and friend to countries around the globe.

Herr Sterling
