Keep in mind that if incidents had not occured, I would have been a very active member of government. Also keep in mind that I stepped out of the race for this very reason.

I never did the survey yet because I wanted to hold back and read more of what's been discussed in all the recent articles. Feeling more informed now and hope it's not too late to submit my response.

Looking forward to better times ahead with eUSA and CoT. There's reason to doubt it will work perfectly but willing to take a leap of faith that we can come through okay in the showdown between eUSA and eSpain,

On the early pole results. I believed in what we have been doing in these last two administrations and to see this support I feel vindicated. With so much vocal opposition it easy to question yourself. What I learned during the wipe is you have to do what you think is right and those in charge should be in charge or you end up doing nothing. You need to grasp opportunities when they are presented or they pass you by. Oinyo really figured that out during his term and I agreed completely.

Survey was structured poorly:

"Alliance Preference?"

I would rather have seen separate questions:

"Do you think that joining ALLIANCEX is in the best interests of eCanada?" Yes/No

This question should be asked for each alliance, then you get a strong indication of support rather than this vote splitting nonsense.

Also, there should be a question:

"Do you consider your knowledge of ALLIANCEX to be strong enough to make an informed decision on whether or not to join that alliance?"

This will tell you how reliable the answer is.

"Do you believe that eCan should have one country-to-country alliance that takes priority over all others?" Yes/No

"Do you believe that eCan should pursue a Broman with COUNTRYX?" Yes/No and go through each of the candidate countries.

You can't eliminate lying or ignorance, but you can eliminate noise created by the way this survey was structured.

We can't very well join multiple alliances so making Canadians choose one over the others makes the most sense. I'm sorry you're in the minority that wants to join TWO, but that's the way it stands. The government serves at the will of the majority, not the loudest opposition.

Re two alliances, I beg to differ. eCan was simultaneously a member of EDEN and Terra and managed to be a reputable member of both.

That is a rich statement coming from a CP who earned the support of less than three in ten voters, where is your majority of support?

Also, half the congress positions were lost due to game mechanics so only a partial congress participated in the in-game vote to join CoT.

Two many bad smells on this issue.

My disappointment does not lie with the fact that eCan did not join TWO/ACT, I thump this issue to highlight the fact there were legitimate options that were completely bypassed. My disappointment lies with the fact that due consideration was not given to other options, including the remnants of the old EDEN alliance.

This survey is structured to determine a plurality of support, not the "right choice". This flaw permeates most surveys I see in this game so it's not a terrible issue, I just note it now because the issue at hand if of import to me.

Make sure to ask those on ATO duty as well. We may have different citizenships to help out but we are still Canadians 😉
