Without Further Ado, let's begin !
Before we begin this article, I'd like to clarify some things. Firstly, as some of you may have noticed, I've been writing for WHPR as of late. Staying in my field, I write for them on the matter of current American/Allied Wars, while going just a bit MOFAish half the time. (Yippe for feeling like our Shadow MOFA !)

To keep this short - When I write for the Gov, I write for the Gov. When I write for the Stairway, I write for the Stairway.
Just wanted to clarify that writing for Government and myself are two different things 😉

Now, to today's stories...

1. Irish-UK Training War Begins, mishaps and revelations End

Ireland and the United Kingdom have started a Training War in recent days, following a string of controversial decisions on Britain's part. Ireland, having only borders with two allied/neutral countries, was planning to have a Training war with one of them (Canada) for awhile. However, English forces recently attacked the Canadian region of NFLD and Labrador, cutting off the only Irish route of attack.

Ireland was, understandably, angry/pissed/can I use that word? at this development. NFLD had been in English hands before to allow the English a war on Portugal VIA the Azores. When RWed, England attacked again and won the battle.

The English CP later apologized for these acts, blaming some festive-alchol-consumption for the attack. He later organized a TW with Ireland. Ire will attack English NFLD, capture it, Ireland will RW it back to Canada, then attack N.Ireland (English.) They will win this battle, attack Scotland and lose. The UK will then re-capture N.Ireland, and start a series of Ping-Pong attacks.

2. English-Belgium TW Closes
England has announced that they will be closing their Training war with Belgium recently, in eager anticipation of their New TW-War with Ireland. You can read more on this in an article published by the English CP...

3. Denmark Wiped, PTO Avoided
Massive allied support has successfully kept Denmark wiped for another congress election, ensuring that the PTOed country does not have a congress for another month. Though PTO-Rebels liberated Denmark's Northern tip of Nordjylland, Norwegian forces quickly took over the territory. Oddly enough, Norway was asking to rent this territory a few weeks/months ago, but a deal wasn't made. Small world.

Following the union with Germany, Denmark lost many of its citizens. Once the natural Danish population became low, various PTOers got into Denmark VIA multies and CS requests. Since then, Denmark has been wiped to protect its nation from PTO. Many foreign groups are interested in PTOing this small nation, largely due to its massive 6,000,000 cc Treasury.

Some criticism arose in Germany when Nordjylland was freed, stating that Germany should have never wasted their NE when congressionals were at hand and the PTO-Force in Denmark was present.

All that aside, Denmark is safe, Germark has its war against Lithuania, and Norway has a 20% food bonus until further notice.

4. Germark Forces Defend Berlin, Attack Scania.
Germark forces have defended a Lithuanian Assault on BrandenBurg and Berlin recently, following the Lithuania's successful takeover of MWP (Mecklenburg West Pomerania.)
Adding to the victory, German rebels freed to formerly-Lithuanian MWP, eliminating all Lithuanian gains against Germany. Germany is now launching a successful attack on Lithuanian-Occupied Scania, winning the battle 30-3.
This event taking place after an intense RW in the originally-Swedish territory, where Lithuanian forces were most-likely attempting to retreat.

This assault, if successful, will take much heat off Germark's ally, Sweden. Lithuania, a CoT Trial Member, originally Declared war on Sweden as part of their running conflict with ASGARD. The invasion of Scania granted Lithuania a 20% weapons bonus, as well as allowing them to assist their ally Latvia.

Lithuania stands to lose 1 food and weapon's bonus if this attack succeeds.


EDIT- Lithuanian is in CoT as a trial member, not TWO. Thank you to Edelmann for pointing this out.

5. Swedish Rebels Attack Latvian-Occupied Gotland
Swedish rebels have started a RW in the Latvian-Occupied territory of Gotland today, so far being defeated 42-13. Latvia gains no bonuses from this territory, but if freed Sweden will be in possession of another food bonus.


6. Lithuanian Army Attacks Gotaland.
Lithuania has attack the Swedish territory of Gotaland today, further continuing their campaign against Sweden. Lithuanian forces are currently winning the campaign 47-8, with decent resistance being brought up in D3 and 4.

From an English person's perspective, it looks as if the Swedes have a strange fascination with Goats....

7. Estonian Forces Assault Kirde-Eesti, Fins in Dire Straits
Following the recent liberation of 80% of Estonia's Core Regions, Estonian forces have launched a final assault on the Fins in Kirde-Eesti. Kirde-Eeesti, an oil region that Finland holds dear to its economy, is being lost to the Estonians 53-24 with real resistance only being offered in D4.

Kirde-Eesti is Finland's second most important traditional colony in Estonia, right after Pohja-Eesti. Pohja, though having no economic value, links Kirde with the Finnish homeland. This oil region is often where the Finns will often stop their campaigns against Estonia, mainly to stay away from Estonia's souther ally Latvia. The 20% food bonus region of Keski-Eesti in central Estonia is a prize that Finland also goes after more-often-than-not.

If Finland loses this battle, they will be faced with an assault on their Core-Region of Southern Finland.


8. Spain Declares war on Portugal- Attacks Azores
Spain has declared war on Portugal, following their lost NE with China. Portugal currently is holding onto 1 territory, Azores. This territory is under attack by Spanish forces, with Spain leading the battle 11-0. Portugese rebels are attempting to liberate the territory of Centro as well, losing the battle 44-0.

The Azores was recently freed by Portugal, only to have it wiped in time for Congress elections by England.


9. Greek Forces Defeated in Plovdiv, Prepare for Assault(s).
Greek forces were defeated in the Bulgarian border region of Plovdiv recently, following the successful liberation of the Thrace region from FYROM. This comes after FYROM's failed assault on Greece, in direct response to the Greek liberation of Thrace from Macedonian hands.
We can expect a Bulgarian counter-attack on Greece, and a Greek counter-attack on FYROM.


10. Serbia to Wipe Israel, Attack Turkey- Victory is just a Haifa Away !

Serbian forces have taken over 4 of Israel's 7 traditional territories recently, following the original Serbian offensive launched from Crete. The end goal of this campaign is to gain a border with Turkey and NE them, with Hungary and Poland possibly entering the fray from Occupied-Taurida, Ukraine.

Serbian forces have recently RWed the territory of N.Borders, originally Saudi, away from Israel. This was done to cut down on the number of territories Serbia has to take over, since Serbia can only NE Turkey either after Israel is wiped, or until 7 days of war have taken place.

Serbia is now attacking Nazareth-North-District of Israel, winning the battle 11-0. No resistance on Israel's part is in sight.

Turkey currently borders Serbia ever since Serbia's taking of Al Jawf. However, Turkey cannot NE Serbia due to their NE on Bulgaria.


11. Spain Retreats from Luzon, Philippines.

EDIT- Not sure who retreated, to be frank. I assumed Spain did because China was the agressor in this war, but China may RWed Luzon too. However, it is more likely that Spain did retreat, though I'm not 100% certain.

Spanish forces have lost their border with China recently, due to the RWing of the only territory the nation's have as a border- Luzon. Spain originally came into the region from Colombia, following ally-Brazil's retreat from the Philippines.
It is likely that Spain retreated to cancel their China's NE on them. Though Spain NEd China as well, China launched the proposal first, meaning that they will get the initiative in the war.
Also, Spain is now free to wipe Portugal in the Azores. (As they are doing)


12. Indonesian Forces Wage War on Croatia- Indian Rebels Victorious.

Following Croatia's recent expulsion from S.Thailand and their controversial retreat from Tamil Nadu, Indonesia has captured two of Croatia's six traditional Indian territories. These strategic victories for Indonesia have cut Croatia down to 2 bonuses. This is a far cry from the usual 5 bonuses Croatia enjoys in its Indian territories.

Croatia, following this tragic string of defeats, has defended its territory of Madya Pradesh recently. This gives the Croatian's the initiative in the war against Indonesia. Making matters ever better for Croatia, Indonesia will mostly likely be down to 1 Indian territory due to an Indian RW against Indo.

We can expect a epic battles between Indonesia and Croatia in coming days. If Croatia wins, Indo will have to NE Malaysia and Thailand to get back to India. (Something they will most likely not due. Croatia, once rebuilt, would surrender Tamil Nadu again if this started to happen. So Indonesia would be going on a long trek across 3 nations, with no guaranteed first hit against Croatia. Something not too appealing.)
And if Indo wins, they will have to take the Croatian territory of Gujarat, NE India, and then be attacked by Croatia once they gain a border with them. Basically, Indonesia would have to win VIA auto-attack if the situation unfolded like that. The odds do not smile upon Indo today.

Prior to what the map would like you to believe, Indo DID lose Mahar. Map is a bit slow today 😉


13. India Leaves EDEN.

15. Taiwanese Homeland Falls to American Forces.
Taiwan has lost their final Core Region of S.Taiwan to American forces. America recaptured the territory with relative ease, following a successful American attack on Eastern Taiwan.
Taiwan isn't in dire straits at the moment though, thanks to their colonies in N.Asia.

16. Colombia, or, a How to Guide for War on Three Fronts.
Brazil is attacking Andina at current, winning 33-0
Colombian rebels are being beat by Brazil in 55-5 in a RW.
And Colombia is down to 1 out of 6 territories.
In short, they are getting killed.

However, there is one glimmer of hope for Colombia- Colombia forces are currently mounting an offensive against Mexico in Caribe e Insular. Even in the place with the most potential to be freed though, Colombia is being beat down 28-38.

So how do you wage war on three fronts and win ?
As Colombia tragically shows, the answer is simple-
You don't.


EDIT- Mexican forces are the ones attacking Andina, not Colombian. Mexico is still winning though.
