Hey Everyone!

So today we have a number of things to talk about from within the United Party of Canada. Lets start with a change to the Logo, just as we did last week with the popular Yoshi Logo. We now have a more serious Logo being adopted by the Party.

The New Logo


It came as a Banner for the Forum, made by Doctor of Souls, and I liked the logo on it, so I put up a poll on the Forum about if we wanted to stay with the Yoshi look or take on this nice looking tree. The vote went completely one way in favor of the more serious Logo against the Attention Catching Yoshi.

Official Party President Candidate
A vote was just concluded on the Forum for our Official Party President Candidate, to make sure the Party is led by the candidate that the Party wants and trusts to lead us. The vote was close, with only a single vote separating the winner from second place. That winner is...

LORD JULIAN MORETTI!

Lord Julian played one of the important roles in bringing the Merger into action, and acted as a strong PP for the past month, contributing to the Top Five Push, we're putting our faith in him for a second term, and wish him the best, but he won't be without help, as the Party functions as a team.

The Top Five
On to a Good bit of news that I awoke to this morning. The United Party of Canada is now officially in the Top 5 Parties in eCanada, passing the Coalition NF-MDP Party by one member to take the #5 position. We hope to keep growing from here to solidify our position as we go. This advance of our Party, from 26 members at the time of the merge to our strong team of 51 members today, is all thanks to the hard working recruitment done by our members. We reached out to eCanadian Citizens, asking if they wanted to be a part of the movement, and many have responded by joining our ranks.

Now, being a Top Five Party throws some new things into play, chief among them being...

Congress Elections!
The October Congress will be our first chance to put a solid group of Congressmen from the UPC into the Government, to advance our Platform and start our work in building a better Canada. We will open sign ups for Congress on our Forum on the 16th, and will be open until all spots are filled! Prepare your Presentations now if you plan on running!



Final Comments
Its been a new experience, building this party with all of its members. I am confident in the group we have assembled, and hope to see new faces join and get involved!
